I actually did not recall Mark 9:40 but immediately thought of the verse from Matthew. The exclusivity implied by the Matthew verse seems more consistent with some of the other sayings about leaving the family to follow and not serving two masters but your reference sounds like a good read.He said both….which has always had me scratching my head
