Bill “4th and Goal” Duff!47 days.......
One of my top 5 games I’ve ever been to was the Citrus Bowl win over Ohio State. Jay Graham’s run, Duff’s stop of Eddie George, and Joey Kent’s 47 yard TD reception are moments I won’t soon forget!

Following the 1981 season, the Vols played Wisconsin in the Garden State Bowl. Anthony Hancock went wild with almost 200 yards receiving, but the games MVP went to Steve Alatorre. The QB was 24-42 for 315 yards and 2 TDs, in the 28-21 victory.

What exactly happened to Tom Fisher such that he died? Curious.40 days
The last time the Vols held their opponents under 100 points for a season was in 1966. Paul Naumoff had just moved from End to linebacker due to the death of Tom Fisher. Naumoff excelled at the new position and was named All-SEC and All-American. Not many know that when Naumoff first arrived in Knoxville, he was a wide receiver and started a few games in 1964. He finished his only season at WR with 2 receptions for 40 yards.
Naumoff went on to a great NFL career with the Detroit Lions.
#81 as a WR
