Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton Panic Over President Trump Postponing The Presidential Election

Both former Vice President Joe Biden and failed 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton spoke out in defense of a November election on Tuesday, warning President Donald Trump not to postpone the presidential contest — even though President Trump hasn’t expressed any desire to move the date.

Third time has not been the charm in recent elections

Hillary Clinton, Mitt Romney, John McCain, Al Gore, Bob Dole: All five won their party's presidential nominations after previous failed attempts. All went on to lose.

Democrat Joe Biden hopes to buck the trend as his party's presumptive standard-bearer in 2020 following ill-fated runs in 1988 and 2008. He faces a mercurial incumbent in President Donald Trump, who has never raised his average approval rating above the 40s and now presides over an economy ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic.

Experts tell the Washington Free Beacon that Biden faces historical headwinds as a third-time presidential candidate with more than 40 years in national office. Overcoming decades-old preconceptions and generating voter enthusiasm have been challenges for repeat candidates in the past, and Biden would be the oldest nominee ever at 77.

"Once you've been on the national scene for more than a decade, your odds of winning the presidency are really low," RealClearPolitics elections analyst Sean Trende said. "The second- or third-time runner is part of a broader trend that people who have been in elected office for a long time don't do well, and that's something that has been consistent going back to the 1920s."

He was for it before he was against it.
Works both ways. Trump said everything was under control and it was just the flu...till it wasn’t. Then he changed his mind. Politicians change their positions depending on which way the wind is blowing. Duh

He was "evolving."

New poll shows Biden beating Trump in Florida if election were held today
While 40% of voters said they would back Trump, 46% said they would cast ballots for Biden if he were the Democratic challenger. An additional 6% said they would not vote, while 8% remained undecided.

Is Joe Biden weaker today than Hillary Clinton was in 2016?

The polls show Joe Biden leading President Trump in the presidential race. Looking at the last 10 surveys in the RealClearPolitics average of polls matching Trump versus Biden, Biden is leading in every one of them — by anywhere from 3 to 10 points. Biden's average lead in those 10 polls is 5.5 points.

The results echo polls from this point in 2016, when the general election matchup was Trump versus Hillary Clinton. Taking 10 polls from this time in the last campaign, Clinton led in every one of them — by anywhere from 6 to 18 points. Her average lead in those 10 polls was 10.5 points.

The poor guy was a gaffe machine in 1988 that had to quit running for President because of plagiarism and exaggerating his credentials... then he had an aneurysm... but at age 78 he’s a good idea. It makes no sense.
He has that one quality the majority is looking for...........he's not Trump.

....Which Democrats also thought last time. It blows my mind how bad Democrats have been at picking candidates. Trump is probably the worst Republican candidate of the past 50 years yet the Democratic Primary process and a wild swing to the left have made it a ballgame.

Trump is not only the worst candidate in the past 50 years, he is the worst candidate to ever be nominated.
It blows my mind that our country would elect such a candidate.

Anything is possible when you push the limits too far one way or another .

Trump was nominated over 16 other repubs.
That fact will never disappear.

The fact that Trump was elected because the left pushed its policy’s too far and then selected the worst candidate in history ( obviously because she lost a sure thing to Trump ) will never disappear either . The question is .. will the left learn from it ?
