2018 Midterm Election Thread

she could have said that instead she said this:

"People shouldn't have to go into agriculture or hospitality to make a living in Georgia."

If she was just talking about low paying jobs the choice of "to make a living" is curious. Nothing in her statement indicates nationality, ethnicity or background. Nor does it indicate being trapped in low-paying jobs. She said people shouldn't have to work in these industries (ones that represent 1 - 7 jobs in the state).

It's elitist bullcrap.
If you dissected one tenth of trump's statements one tenth as literally, you would run screaming from him.

I just found it and listened to it again. It was a throw away line in a rant about the great jobs she will create and was generally just an inarticulate thing to say. It was the kind of line your kill Trump for.
lol.....Trump says 20 such things per day. I bet he made a hundred worse statements at his pep rallies today.....and 50 outright lies.

Yep but guess what. He’s done more than your jug earred leader did in 8 years and didn’t need a magic wand.

I don’t see the hatred for him, if you don’t like what he’s doing for the country, then take your commie ass to Canada.

....and you prove my point. People call out politicians when they say dumb things.

you are working really hard to defend her statement - why?
I'm just defending her against the gross misinterpretations and intentionally misrepresentations. She could have and should have worded it differently. What happened to the "take him seriously but not literally" stance you guys love to adopt?

Just saw an ad during the NFL game. STOP THE CARAVAN, VOTE REPUBLICAN. Scary stuff. Literally and figuratively.

sure seems like you are doing the gross misinterpretations and misrepresentations to defend her - wonder why

Trump says plenty of dumb stuff... but he's bright enough not to talk about corn in Iowa, cars in Michigan or oranges in Florida.

True. But how refreshing it would be if his idiocy and dishonesty was that benign. He's much more comfortable with fear and hatred.

How about the guy who refused to recuse himself from his position as Georgia Secretary of State, so he could enforce the "exact match" law (since shot down by a Federal court) and do everything in his power to suppress the black vote in Georgia? A blatant conflict of interest.
Stop it. You've been listening to too many political ads. The resignation is an empty requirement. One person shouldnt be able to change votes or the outcome and if that's your worry, perhaps you should d review the election policies that were already put in place. Furthermore, if he stepped down, who would take over? someone in his office? Is it appointed and by who? That matters if one person can alter an election in Georgia.
