A sitting House member and one of the leaders of the GOP getting arrested for corruption isn't news to them. It's the new normal for Fox.
Just imagine if it had been a Democrat. There would be 4 articles about it on the front page and rigid condemnation.

Nancy Pelosi: Voting for Democrats Gives ‘Leverage’ to Illegal Aliens

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) described voting for Democrats as giving “leverage” to illegal aliens during a Wednesday press conference in El Paso, TX.

Pelosi is set to become Speaker of the House if Democrats win next year, after losing the position when Republicans won the House in 2010.

PELOSI: I don’t want to be political here. I would say that to the extent that people hear the stories, it’s interesting because there was a recent survey that said if you ask people about their attitudes toward immigration and newcomers to the country, they might have one view. They haven’t thought about it a whole lot except they’re hearing the president, and this and that. But if they know one family, if they know one immigrant family, if they go to school with any immigrant children, or if their children go to school with any immigrant children, if they go to church with immigrants, they have a completely positive view. It changes everything. That’s why I keep talking about public sentiment. And so because this is the right thing to do, I have confidence that we will get where we need to go. But everything is about time, and we want to shorten the distance as your question indicated between what we think is inevitable for America. They think it is inconceivable, but we believe that we can get this done. We are not going to be able to get it done under the Republican leadership in Congress. We believe that we will have leverage when we win in November. And why is that important? Because it gives leverage to every family, to every mom who courageously brought her child across the desert to escape — to escape death, rape, gang violence, and the rest. Because it gives hope, because of the leverage it gives to families who may have followed dad home for a family funeral and now can’t come back into the country. As all of those injustices have to be corrected, there’s a path and that path is greatly brightened by the knowledge that is in this community who sees firsthand simple solutions which make a big difference in people’s lives. And so we’re getting ready for this and it is only to come back to a place that honors our values, recognizes the importance of immigration to the success of America.​

They would have to actually say that this guy Wahhaj is the son of a Brooklyn imam, also named Siraj Wahhaj, who was named by prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

They don't want to talk about because it would play right into Trumps terrorist rhetoric.

Two Floridians who were friends on Facebook apparently got into such a heated political argument that a 44-year-old “man,” Brian Sebring, — who is also a registered Democrat in the state of Florida — packed up his AR-15 and a Glock and intentionally drove over to Alex Stephens’ home and shot him in the rear-end and thigh.

It was lead on CNN site this evening.

The Collins story gets play because of Trump, that's true. It is remarkable that he talked about draining the swamp and we've got case after case after case of people hooking their trains to him and making some $.

So, which segment of the DNC wins this Noember? The "hyper speed move to the left" portion that loves the darlings like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that's a mouthbreathing idiot and deserves to be in Congress as much as my dog does?

Or the moderate side which promotes candidates like MJ Hegar that don't have a lot of solid stances on the issues, but have a compelling backstory that motivates across the aisle?

One ends up with a Bernie Sanders level of socialistic entitlement that's failed so many times in history. The other possibly ends up with a voting record like Joe Manchin, but has that (D) behind their name?

Which one wins the soul of the Democratic party?

I think it will be a mix of both. As bad as I hate to agree with ole Looth. He's correct in some respects when he says both parties are moving left. I think the Dems will pick up a few more Bernies this go around.
