I think it should be federally mandated that all district lines be approved by a bipartisan committee.

As of tonight, Sinema's lead over McSally in the ongoing Arizona Senate race is over 30,000 votes with about 260,000 votes yet to be counted. It's looking like the Democrats will be able to put this one in the win column later this week... but still not decided. If Sinema does hold on, it will mean a 53-47 control for Republicans in the Senate.

You're not really joking. No "kind of" about it.

The parties cannot agree on the simplest of things so I highly doubt they'd ever agree on district lines. Unless of course the committee was made up entirely of moderates from both sides, and I'm not sure they exist anymore.

Sad you feel that way. Of course I'm kind of joking.
Also, of course I'm less upset when the abuse benefits the dems. because at least there is a positive outcome to the negative. But it's still wrong.
I think that as a nation we have the ability to come up with a bi-partisan (equally partisan) committee and a check and balance mechanism that insures the effectiveness of the committee.
It will not be perfect, but far better than what we currently have. If neither party agrees to the lines, it's probably an indicator that they are pretty fair.

Luther, almost all of your opinions have an extremely partisan lean, so why would I think you were in any way joking? You don't hide your politics and routinely make the GOP out as misguided and evil, not to mention you believe Trump is the devil. For whatever reason, in your head the Dems are guiltless and always correct. You defend them in everything. You cannot see just how crooked BOTH parties are.

I do find the GOP misguided on most issues and the Dems. much more in line with how I view the world. Trump very well may be the devil personified. It's looking more and more probable that he is.
I know that both parties lie on the crooked continuum. The GOP is just more crooked.
All politicians are also individually on the continuum, from one extreme to the other; but they do tend to gravitate toward one.

The GOP is more crooked IN YOUR OPINION. That does not make it fact. It's my opinion the parties are equally crooked because they're always trying to one up each other in their pursuit of power and control. Both sides swear allegiance to party before country and that, IMO, is the biggest downfall of partisan politics.

Most of us just want to see how hard the fall will be for liberals after he gets a second term .2016 being the end of human society , wailing , screeching , cry in public places with no sense of Civil conduct , having to have therapists tell you it’s going to be ok and you’ll survive . If Trump wins in 2020 I want to watch the self realization that liberals will have to face .
