2016 NBA Draft

Interesting stat:

Tyler Ulis is the 5th Kentucky Basketball guard on the Phoenix Suns, joining Devin Booker, Archie Goodwin, Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe.

Could have something to do with their record as well.

Probably one of the worst drafts for US college players ever - what was there like 8 foreigners picked in rd 1 ?

So how long until they rename the team The Kentucky Wildcats?

Teams that stood out to me in the draft

Rockets - Onuaku at 37 is probably the best pick in the draft, signed GPII
OKC - obviously
Minn. - obviously
Bulls - DV
Brooklyn - LeVert at 20 is a great pick
Jazz - I think Bolomboy will be a solid player for 6-8 years and they got him at 52
Hawks - Teague for Prince seems like a big loser, but then I like Bemberey and Felder picks
Suns - Bender is unknown and Chriss can't seem to play. Ulis is a good pick
Golden St - the Jones pick is OK, but I really like Patrick McCaw
Toronto - Poltl and Siakam were both very good picks #moneyball
Celtics - I hate the J Brown pick but DD is a good pick at 31

Did you guys ever see Bolomboy? I don't understand how a guy like him falls so far. He's a monster, an athlete, he was a good scorer and a great rebounder and he passes the eye test with flying colors. It's crazy to me that teams will gamble so much with their later picks when there are more reliable guys to be had.

Celtics traded Davis to Memphis, Huff.

Then the Celtics had basically the worst draft possible.

I can't understand how they screwed this up. They should have traded some of their picks for an established player. Ainge should have made that happen. The only explanation I can think of that makes sense is teams knew they were desperate to trade picks, so they got low-balled by everyone.

Just a terrible outcome. The only saving grace is that 2019 pick from Memphis could be a lottery pick

I actually think it's lottery protected. And by think, I mean I'm pretty sure.

I was very pleased with the sixers draft.

Surprises GP2 went undrafted, hate that he went to Houston. Plus side I think in a year he while be the starter.

I hate the Rockets. I couldn't even bring myself to like them when they had my favorite player (Barkley).

I think it's their uniforms. Literally, nobody looks cool in them.

I can't believe another year passes and I didn't get drafted. Someone in the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL all have it out for me, just like the people at the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, and Heisman Trophy voters.

I always have too, I liked Mad Max a lot and Rudy T but still never pulled for them even a little. I don't like their unis and they always seem to have players I can't stand.

Say you identify as a woman and throw your name in the WNBA draft. Juwanna Man 2.0

I think the 2019 1st is actually the Clipper's first round pick. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Everybody I talk to is either saying Simmons will bust, or they're gushing over him and lamenting the Sixer's trading him in 2017 or whenever he starts dominating

I'm very excited and think he will develop into an absolute beast... The sixers have not traded anyone that has went on to dominate on another team. I can't wait till July 9 to watch the first Simmons versus Ingram game.

Sixers have a history of trading beloved stars. Moses, Chuck, AI

Oh ok thought you were talking about recent history with the process type stuff.....hopefully the new regime won't follow our history of having a superstar.... Filling around him with very marginal to below marginal guys and then blaming it on the superstar and trading him. I would have more confidence if Hinkie was still here.... He was a smart man.

The young people here are mostly upset about Hinkie being canned. The old people hated his guts.
