I'm old and I loved him.... I didn't see a bad move that he made and was very smart in every deal he made..... He could have been more personable and not run some the wrong way though.

I knew 3 people in the area who hated him who are dead now. I can understand that, lol.

I'm more middle aged old lol.... Hopefully I will get to see a few Ben Simmons play before I go.....I am gaining a little bit of confidence in Bryan colangelo by him not making a bad move to just to try to hurry this up.

Philly really needs to work on its sports image. One of the largest cities in the country, with some of the best sports history, but noone wants to play here. I can't figure out why anyone would want to play in Chicago, but not Philly..

Plus when a player is playing in the city of Chicago they have to worry about either themselves or their family & friends getting shot & killed. It's just a reality when living & playing there. I wouldn't want to have to deal with that for no amount of money!

Philly is pretty ****ed up in that regard too. And like 95 just said, NBA players are living in an entirely different world

I know Philly is pretty bad too when it comes to crime & murder. However, the players might avoid certain areas but in reality they have to travel all over each city to get all of their business taken care of.

Saying they don't live here or there doesn't matter when they can't totally avoid these high crime areas. Doesn't matter necessarily where they sleep/live. They still have to go about the entire cities taking care of things.

Knoxville? Are you kidding me? Do you not watch the news? Have you not seen the amount of murders & other crimes daily in the city of Chicago? Knoxville ain't crap in comparison to Chicago when it comes to crimes like murder & theft. It ain't even close buddy.

I live in the Memphis area. I avoid high crime areas all the time. And I'm not mega rich.

Memphis wasn't mentioned in our discussion about this though. So, that doesn't mean anything to the point of comparing it to Chicago. Philly was brought up but the main chat was about high crime in Chicago.

Some said it was no big deal but my point was that it is because sooner or later if you live & play in Chicago you're gonna go thru these high crime areas. Not only the players but family & friends as well.
