2016 Election

Well, we were chuckling about a RuPaul endorsement at one point. I guess this will have to do.

Caitlyn Jenner wants to be Ted Cruz's 'trans ambassador' | Fox News

While the reality star has not come out to fully endorse the Texas senator, Jenner told Advocate magazine "I like Cruz."

"I think he's very conservative, and a great constitutionalist, and a very articulate man. I haven't endorsed him or anything like that. But I also think, he's an evangelical Christian, and probably one of the worst ones when it comes to trans issues."

"Wouldn't it be great, let's say he goes on to be president," Jenner said, "and I have all my girls on a trans issues board to advise him on making decisions when it comes to trans issues. Isn't that a good idea?"

As if this election wasn't odd enough as it was...

Interesting take on the Democratic divide that was discussed at one point:

The Democrats? Generational Divide | Al Jazeera America

A series of electoral losses by liberal Democrats — the defeats of Mondale and Dukakis to Reagan and George H.W. Bush, respectively, followed by the election of proud moderate Bill Clinton — seemed to affirm the belief that victory was possible for the Democrats only if they moved toward the center. A new era in American politics had arrived, and nearly three decades would pass before the election of Obama provided the left wing of the Democratic Party with anything resembling real influence over the national dialogue. While Obama is no leftist, his campaign served as a useful proof of concept for the dormant left wing of the Democratic Party: Energy and youth can be marshaled to secure electoral success. But for many of those leftists, Obama’s presidency has been a bitter failure. A moderate with keen political instincts, he campaigned on left-wing principles without making many left-wing promises.

The early success of Sanders — after Obama’s unprecedented popularity among young voters — lends credence to the notion that young left-wingers are looking to the Democratic Party to internalize these changes and to present an unapologetically progressive platform once more. These demands are at odds with the preferences of older, more moderate Democrats, who remember all too well the painful lessons of the past.

For unapologetic liberals, the late 1980s and early 1990s were a lonely time. But a new, younger generation of Democrats would soon come of age — a generation without the painful memories of the party’s recent electoral defeats and largely unconcerned with the lessons of the Reagan years. This new generation of left-leaning Democrats has been increasingly unwilling to cede ideological ground to those who still operate under old Reagan-era assumptions.

This election is certainly one for the history books.

The chapter can be titled: "The year America collectively lost it's damn mind."

Are we still writing in Foghorn?

And he'll be kissing Trump' behind once Cruz is defeated, pretty much like every other conservative windbag.

I'm not sure about that. He's likely going to vote for Trump if he's nominated, as he doesn't want Hillary to win. However, I don't think he would be voting for him because he agrees with Trump.

I think the biggest issue with this election is the front running candidates don't really care about the country as much as they care about being named "The President." Hillary is on her last political leg and knows this is the last chance she'll ever have to be President, she has wanted that seat in the Oval Office before Bill ever stepped foot in it. Trump's ego is so big that he feels he deserves to be President because he's Donald Trump.

I'm 45 years old and this may be the worst election I have ever seen. At this point I have absolutely zero clue who to vote for because I don't feel there's one person running who deserves to be President of the United States

So many lies for the price of one:

Jorge Ramos To Hillary Clinton: If You Get Indicted, Will You Drop Out? | Video | RealClearPolitics

CLINTON: Well, Jorge, there's a lot of questions in there. And I'm going to give the same answer I've been giving for many months. It wasn't the best choice. I made a mistake. It was not prohibited. It was not in any way disallowed. And as I have said and as now has come out, my predecessors did the same thing and many other people in the government. But here's the cut to the chase facts. I did not send or receive any emails marked classified at the time. What you are talking about is retroactive classification. And the reason that happens is when somebody asks or when you are asked to make information public, I asked all my emails to be made public. Then all the rest of the government gets to weigh in.

First off, none of her predecessors had ever operated a private computer server for official government business. She didn't even have an official government email account for crying out loud.

Secondly, she is correct several of her predecessors have had personal emails retroactively classified. However, not a one of them ever ordered their staff, in writing no less, to "strip the headers and send un-secured."

Third, she darn well knows which portions of the government are trying to classify those emails. She put the Inspector General of the State Department and the intelligence community on blast for it.

I don't know what's more scary; the fact she continually lies about this and brushes it off...

Or the applause she gets for doing it.

She's a habitual liar who has lied so much for so long that is probably seems normal to her.

Contemplate this...How many people who went to Obama rallies are in prison for murder or other violent crimes right now?

I'm going to let you in on a little secret! More than people who attended any GOP rally.

Now, was this every Trump supporter that punched him, or just one guy out of thousands in attendance?
