2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Is promoting a story the same thing as starting the story?

Goal posts are shifting, stand back.

8188 said it was a baseless claim that the story originated from the Clinton campaign. Then her former campaign manager admits she had to fire someone who helped spread the rumor. From baseless to just passing along what I heard. Talk about shifting goalposts.

Lol.

Come on man.. you honestly think that staffer just said "**** it, I'm doing this on my own and not telling anybody".

Yeah, people say f*%k it and do rouge sh*t every day. It's completely plausible.

At any rate - the fact that Trump piggybacked on to where ever it started and wouldn't let it go until now, should be the troubling part.

Troubling? What's troubling is people actually care.

It happened during the primaries does not definitively mean it came from Hillary.

If someone harmed Hillary, would it automatically mean trump was to blame?

Her strategist Mark Penn. She never tried to stop it, so yeah I guess she was tagging along with the birther bs.

Actually, the fact that you're using PolitiFact to represent "facts" is the troubling part. I figured you'd been around long enough to know this. Numerous organizations have called out their bias, but just looking at their website should make it obvious. There are four quotes on Trump (all deemed false or worse, and 3 or the 4 related to the single "birther" issue) and only two from Hillary (one half-truth and one true). But the topic surprisingly missing is all of the recent comments about Hillary's illness!!! Perhaps the biggest cover up currently in the news and yet PolitiFact doesn't have an opinion on it. Go figure.

A fight over safe spaces and free speech erupted recently on a college campus in Canada, when a student weaing a red “Make America Great Again” hats was immediately attacked by a female student who called the hat “hate speech.”

The incident, captured on video, occurred at Mount Royal University in Calgary. Student Matt Linder came to school wearing the cap emblazoned with Donald Trump's slogan. Fellow student Zoe Slusar accosted Linder and told him to remove it.

Gotta hand it to Trump. I always wondered if someone would come along and save civilization. I assumed they'd do it through impassioned speeches that tug at western man's heartstrings and rouse him from their slumbers. Instead, he's just trolled them into making asses of themselves until people realized they are ruled by idiots. Is there even historical precedent for this? People were known as gifted orators to be sure (Cicero, Demosthenes), but surely no one climbed to the heights of power on bullycide alone, right?

As Mencken once said, "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and that they deserve to get it good and hard."

And boy are we going to get it. Good and hard. And all night long.

This broken pipeline and coming east coast gas shortage gives Trump a great opportunity to put Hillary away, let's see if his handlers are smart enough to use it.

Now guys like Carlos, LG, Septic, 8188 and Volprof are probably asking WTF. Don't worry I'm going to explain it to the uninformed.

The Keystone pipeline was never really about a pipeline to carry shale oil to the gulf refineries, it was about the offshoot to the east coast refineries. Used to be 14 of them (2011) now down to 9 with 6 more scheduled to shutter in '17 because they have to buy BRENT or pay exorbitant shipping for WTI. The Keystone pipeline was about an offshoot to the east coast that could supply these refineries with shale oil OR WTI. Well the Dems who are beholden to foreign interests couldn't have that, they couldn't allow us to not import crude from the North Sea or the Gulf.

I suppose they won't learn.

Poll: Democrats want Sanders if Clinton drops out of race - AOL

If Hillary Clinton were to leave the presidential race, Democrats would prefer Bernie Sanders take over the party's nomination.

That's according to a recent poll by Rasmussen, which found 48 percent of likely Democratic voters backed the Vermont senator to step into the role in the event the former secretary of state were forced to drop out.

Keystone, otherwise known as "Canada's great foreign policy ace-in-the-hole."

I say hold off until we get something actually worth it, instead of further enriching Canadians - who already get all the benefits of being American without having to pay for being American - and only creating about 10 permanent American jobs.

So, you want to build that pipeline, create 10 jobs, and allow Canadians to keep leaching off us, do you?

Well, not me. I want that pipeline, but only under the right circumstances. I be damn if I'm going to let American land be used and potentially wrecked just so it can enrich Canadian public coffers and Canadian oil companies, along with just a few of their American butt buddies in the business.

Already being built.

Well part of it. The part that goes from Cushing OK to Memphis anyway.

Keystone ties in to it.

You continue to demonstrate your ignorance in real issues, that pipeline would not only allow Canadian shale oil to be shipped to the gulf refineries but also to our east coast refineries. And guess what? The oil being produced in the Balkan field (N. Dakota) would also been able to be introduced into that pipeline. Try to keep up with real issues.

For someone who claims to be a patriot and want a strong America you really know **** about what keeps us strong and who our real enemies are.
