I agree, and if he wins, I think he moves the Republican Party away from social conservatism and military interventionism. The tent will get bigger, although some diehards may get disgusted and leave. I just hope the party become fiscally conservative. They talk a good game, but.......

It will take a lot of pain to right the ship though. $20,000,000,000,000.00 is a very big anchor. People will not like what happens. There are smarter people on this board than me. Everybody here thinks other people are wrong and then they say condescending things. I never claim to be the smartest guy, yet I get these comments all the time and most people don't, even when they are condescending.

I make a different kind of argument than most. I point out fallacies and somehow that makes me the self-appointed arbiter of intelligence. Is it that it sounds intelligent to you, so then the butthurt in you projects this **** on me?

I didn't say, "he's never taken an econ course so he can't be president." It was a judgement based on his statement, not his achievements. It has nothing to do with his being an authority. The response was, "he is an authority."
