Ah I gotcha. I actually agree, I don't like that you can jump into a guy and get a foul especially when the defender is on the ground.
I think it's fine when you get a guy to totally sell out on the block attempt, because he's totally invading your space. Still drawing the foul on "purpose", but the difference is there would be no contact if you didn't jump into them. It's absurd that they get the call.
I know nobody will agree probably, but I thought Iggy by far was the most valuable player last night. He was great in the fourth and OT, and the reason GS won. IMO
Espn said Lebron was 2-12 against Iggy. I can see that getting in his head like the 2011 series where he didn't drive at all, and just settles for dumb shots.
Hopefully Kyrie can come back
They even gave Lebron a few bunk calls in the post when Iggy was guarding him. AI is one of my favorite players. He just balls. He doesn't care if he's the headliner or the 7th option, he's going to try his best to win the individual battles and be happy because of team success.
That's what years of losing in Philly will do to a mature star.
Remind me of what league average player or any player for that matter, is running 75% of his teams offense off of his post ups. Then tell me about the league average defenders that were guarding him.
Yeah they are. Out of curiosity what are the other 4?
Today Cowherd was talking about something Bill Simmons wrote, if the Pistons had the #1 pick the year Lebron came out, instead of #2 and they had taken Lebron, they won the title the next year with Tayshaun Prince at the 3 with 4 other all stars. Do the Pistons win more than one title (yes) and would Lebron be thought of as a better player than he already is? Imagine that team, Billups, Rip, Lebron, Rasheed, Ben Wallace, 5 all stars that year.
