2015 NBA Finals Thread

Cleveland has been very fortunate this regular season and post season.

Their route to the finals consisted of playing in the worst conference in the history of sports. I'm only assuming that's the case, but I doubt it's very often(as in probably never) that you have 3 teams in one postseason, let alone the same half of the conference, make the playoffs with a record of .500 or worse.

Cavs probably miss the postseason in the west. Definitely don't make it to the finals out of the west. So if you want to talk about fortunate... how about a team playing in the finals due to their horrible conference when in reality, they probably wouldn't be in the postseason at all if they switched conferences. That's what you call fortunate. Weird that you call the Warriors fortunate during the postseason when they just keep doing what they've done all regular season. How is being the best team in the league, "fortunate", as you put it?

Idiocy and prolixity do not mix well, please stop.

JR Smith and Iman Shumpert killed the Cavs tonight, you cant have efforts like what LBJ, Irving, Thompson and Mosgov put up and have those two guys be equal parts horrible and lost.

If Kyrie does nothing else this series because of injury, he's earned my respect, he played his ass off on both sides of the ball; I was impressed by his defense.

I imagine LeBron is going to continue to post up all series long, in which case he's going to put up numbers, he's going to have to have those shooters hit from outside, they did a good job on the cut action they ran off of his post ups.

Andrew Bogut got whooped all night by a much smaller dou of Thompson and Mosgov, he looked awful at times, probably see more small ball with Speights or Green at the 5.

GSW taxes a defense so much, if you're late on a single rotation they're drilling a three, if Iman Shumpert and JR Smith aren't going to hit from outside they're at least going to have to fight harder on screens.

Almost felt like this was a must-win game for Cleveland. With Kyrie being a question mark, a split seems unlikely, Cavs will need a heat check game from JR and something resembling effort from anyone not named James, Thimpson and Mosgov.

Strange But True: Stephen Curry and LeBron James were born at the same hospital in Akron, Ohio, 1,170 days apart.

Lol LBJ might have gotten a call had he shot inside 25 feet in OT.

Lbj continued his bad shooting. Curry's drawing fouls 21 feet from the hoop when he initiates contact and there is almost no contact. It's absurd.

LeBron needs to score 50+ if he's going to take 38 shots

I would still say he had a decent game, IMO. I'm just talking about scoring. He was 25% from 3 and 60% from FT. He was just off. When Lebron shoots .05 above league average TS%, on average, then .02 below league average is objectively a bad shooting night for him.

BTW, opposing SFs scored 26 off 17 FGAs. Not sure if Lebron taking 38 shots is hurting his defensive effort, or if that's just a fluke result, but that's a lot of points off a few shot.

Steve Kerr didn't use his runt line up until 3 minutes left in overtime. Obviously it was a good decision to put that lineup in.

All stars get those calls, your boy Harden does it more than anyone in the league. That's not why GS won so I don't get the gripe anyway, the Cavs turtled up in OT.

I didn't say it's why GS won and it's garbage when Harden does it. I like Curry a lot ore than Harden, btw. It makes me like guys less when they do it.

Ah I gotcha. I actually agree, I don't like that you can jump into a guy and get a foul especially when the defender is on the ground.
