Dawson said even his father, who joined him on the trip, was impressed by what he saw.
“He said if he had a chance, he would go to Tennessee,” Dawson said.
[The 6-foot-3, 233-pound Dawson said he still views Clemson as his top choice, just as he did before the visit, but UT isnt far behind. After the Tigers, he named Louisville, then Miami, then Tennessee in listing the other schools currently at the top of his list.
- Scout“[Louisville] just swept me off my feet,” Dawson said. “Louisville has always been my second choice of schools [behind Clemson]. Louisville is now in the running with Clemson. I really like Louisville. Those two schools are the team beat. Clemson is still on top, but I really, really, really like Louisville.”
How will Dawson choose between Clemson and Louisville?
“I’m really not sure,” Dawson admitted. “I don’t really know what it’s going to come down to. I’m glad I didn’t commit to Clemson earlier when I started to because Clemson, Tennessee and Louisville, all schools that I’ve seen, made me feel like family. I’m not sure, when the time comes to make a [decision] it comes.”
Face it, we have fallen on hard times. This is as down as this team has been since I have been following them. Many teams have passed us by. Hopefully the next 2 or 3 years can bring some respectability back to the program. Lord knows it needs it.Clemson has enough LBs... Why are we having such a hard time getting the attention of big time LBs? I see that we are in the top 5 or 10 with a bunch of them, but why can't we land any?
This isn't "the sky is falling" kind of post. I am just curious as to why we are having a hard time at this position.
