It's definitely looking like Perkins was the worst trade ever. Celtics are a shadow of their former selves.

Lebron is ridiculous. 35 points, TS% of .614, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a block, no turnovers.

J. O'Neal is playing solid d so I don't think the Perkins trade is the reason they're down. The celtics just haven't matched the energy of the Heat. They could also very well turn it around and win this series. I would love it if the Heat knocked them out though.

O'neal has been playing well? Against the Heat in 2 games he has a total of 6 defensive rebounds, 1 block, 0 steals, and 8 fouls. Not great defense in my mind. In those 2 games, the Heat shot TS%'s of .537 and .561 so the Celtics don't appear to be playing good defense.

O'neal has played good d. It's a team d problem though. Perk wouldn't change that imo. The one thing people kept saying about Perkins was that the stats didn't matter with him. Why wouldn't it be the same way with O'neal or anybody they plug-in at 5.

Stats matter with everyone.

Pissed at Ainge. I was getting all giddy to see the Heatle's dreams get crushed, only to have Danny boy trade away the keystone to the C's title hopes. Unless the Bulls are actually much better than they've looked so far these playoffs, the East sucks just as much as it has for the last few seasons and Miami will be riding that wave of mediocrity right to the Finals for years while ESPN slurps them the whole way.

It seems to me both the East and West haven't looked as strong in the playoffs. I thought this was a year where the top 4 teams in both conferences were much stronger than most years. I've changed my mind on that.

Fo rlz? Pretty simple with the Spurs, while Tim Duncan was finally getting older, the Spurs guards had them playing a style that was conducive to winning a lot in the regular season. You could tell something was awry. Hell, Memphis deliberately tanked at the end of the season to get the Spurs. Speculation, but I'd put down money that says the Lakers, Mavericks, Thunder and even Memphis could win the eastern conference this season. This of course pending finding out what's up with the Bulls.

And it's not just at the top, it's top to bottom. Compare the records that will get you in the playoffs in the east vs in the west. With Perkins gone to OKC, one conference is absolutely brutal and the other has Miami, maybe Chicago then a bunch of chumps.

Definitely top to bottom the west is stronger, but the top 4 of each conference is what I'm talking about. I just feel it's a bit of a down year. In the west the #1 seed lost in first round. Lakers are best in West, but not even close to as good as they were in '09. I don't think Dallas and OKC are beating Miami. Maybe Dallas, but I'd pick Miami. I'd pick Miami over OKC, too, but that one's real close.

And now he's back making a steal. Crazy. I didn't expect him back tonight at least.

Lebron quit because of a bruised elbow, and rondo plays after dislocating his lol. Lebron is a punk!

To be fair, bruises usually hurt more and have a more lasting effect than having your elbow joint violently ripped out of place and reset.

When did Lebron quit for a bruised elbow? In the playoffs?

Plus Rondo might shoot better after a dislocated elbow, whereas Lebron's team might be better served resting him for the future.

Celtics series last year. He didn't quit, but he played like a girl.
