I wouldn't say it's crap. It's the middle of the offseason and people are debating the most important position on the team. Some of the arguments are comical, but the common theme is that everyone wants to be better at QB in 2020.

No, sorry but it is crap. Checking a recruit’s thread to see if there’s anything breaking and then having to sort through 15 pages of arguments about current vs past players is crap. Not everyone has 20 hours a day to hang on a recruiting site but they can still be interested in what’s happening with the Vols. If the mods wanted a better recruiting site they would ban about 10 posters who do 90% of this and delete any posts that aren’t about the recruit. There are designated threads for that type of discussion, please go there to discuss it. IMHO

It’s hard to know what’s going on with JTD when it’s all about the JG argument (for or against)

Really no need to worry about JTD news until May 20th or later. If the vote doesn't happen, then it's a wrap.

This is my opinion for what it is worth.
1. Any coach in college football would take JTD over JG (no brainer)
2. As far as the Bama game; if we had scored and cut it to 7 points, and I was able to place a bet with decent odds on us winning the game, I would have probably placed that bet.
With the momentum we would have had, and the preparedness that Pruitt had his players of not being intimidated of Bama, plus the shock and fear that Bama players would then have, I could very easily see us winning.
But, sadly JG did not allow for that scenario. It does not make me hate him, but it does make me want to take our chances with another QB.

Well stated and agree completely. Mo was on our side and the Bammers knew it.

Do not wish ill will on JG at all, he gave it his best shot and will continue to do so as long as the coaches trot him out on the field. But the IU game showed everybody that he does not have it as a starter if they had no figured it out years ago. A month to prepare and laid the biggest egg I have ever seen laid by a Vol QB. Bailed out by CJP and quality teammates pulling it out in the end. Would rather go 8-4 with a different QB that has upside than 8-4 (or worse) with JG.

in the place we are in for this year hell yea I’d be happy with 8-9 wins.

Anyone saying they wouldn’t be happy with that is a fool and needs to check the schedule and the last decade of history

Would I be happy with 8 - 9 this year? Yes. The fact is that appears to be JG's ceiling and that is a problem in and of itself. Falling short would mean around 7 wins.

I want the QB to have a ceiling of championship. Falling short is about 9 wins in that case.

With JG at QB the floor is higher than the rest as well.

no one wants to talk About it with this virus but it’s not the time to be bringing in new QBs

well I know your judgment is clouded with hate for a VFL and you don’t trust Pruitt to play the right guy but the stats really aren’t as you say

JG was 4th in the SEC last year in QBR
JG was 7th in passing completion percentage
JG was 6th in TDs thrown
JG was 3rd in yards per attempt.

All that with a career TD/INT ration of 32/13. Not bad at all and that’s why the floor next year with him being out QB is higher than with anyone else. At worst 7 wins is virtually a lock with him playing QB imo.

So yea he’s beating out more than vandy and Kentucky my man.

1. If you have Bruin on ignore it would only be two pages.
2. It would be a bad business to decision to do what you want because less activity means less clicks which means less ad dollars
3. The recruiting forum has proven to be a community. Albeit a dysfunctional one but one nonetheless. You're suggesting the removal of that community spirit from all but one thread because YOU dont have time to go through a mere 15 pages.

We could win 7 with just a commitment to the run especially if Cade is eligible with our defense so I'm not sure that is saying much. It's the critical games where a QB name is made.

Agreed as long as the QB doesn’t throw the ball to the wrong jersey. JG won’t Do that
