That's true but if there is not a pretty forgone case of being eligible in the fall, I'd say he stays. Then if they pass the one time waiver next season he can leave for the 2021 season. If the NCAA has shown one thing, it's that they give waivers to high ranked QBs because they want the product on the field to be as good as possible.
Our passing numbers don't increase because JG is so bad the coaches stop throwing the ball because they are scared of the damage it will do.Different systems, different leagues, different defenses, different OCs, different roster talent compared to those in their same leagues and different offensive philosophies. Our system calls for 20-25 passes a game and in the SEC it's simply not ever going to produce similar stats to a Pac whatever school. Unless our philosophy changes drastically you won't see our passing numbers increase all that much. I'm always amazed that folks can't seem to figure out how stats work and the ways they are produced. I'm guessing we'll show improvement because our overall team talent has improved, not because we transferred in another QB who would not be eligible to play this year anyway unless he's been granted some special waiver.
I feel that’s the most likely scenario we see take place, imho.In regards to the one time transfer waiver, they could postpone the vote until next season. But they could also decide to allow a one time transfer during this window due to COVID-19 hardships and not commit to allowing it going forward until the vote takes place.
Nope. Wrong. CV-19 will only hurt TN football. Everyone else will be fine.I take solace in the fact that even though CV-19 is hurting the odds of JTD or HB taking the starting job from HB, it also means that Jamie Newman at Georgia is going to be well behind the curve. I want that program to crash and burn this season.
I like JG off the bench...he is actually a great asset in that regard. I will be ready to puke if he is named the starter this year, he is just incapable of it, but I want him on the team.

JG makes all the throws, reads and plays in practice. He just cant flip it to the game on a consistent basis. The players and coaches have been rallying around him despite his incompetency in the most important position on the team. If that continues this season the result will not be as it should - again. The other QB's knew that if they had one hiccup they were out and JG was in. How much more demoralizing can that be? You get one shot and cannot have mistakes while the guy who has been there for 4 years gets to have many, some of which are completely boneheaded. That has to stop for this program to improve. It is too polarizing and creates excess negativity inside the program and fanbase.
I am still surprised that CJP did not have enough sense the first year to sweep the roster clean. It did not even start to happen until the second season. This program was a complete mess the day he walked in. Clean it up first, then add the building blocks. I guess it was HC inexperience. I know his former boss would not and did not put up with it at Bama when he was hired.
Daniels definitely has talent, but for all thinking he's a day 1 starter I think will depend a heck of a lot on when these kids can finally get to school and teams get to start practicing. As things stand at the moment and with no spring practice, as bad as I hate to say it, JG is probably going to start but hope I'm wrong in the end.
His talent screams day 1 talent plus he has college experience. That’s the difference with bailey. Both Bailey and Daniels are far more talented than anyone else in the QB room.
