I like Jones as well but he is a drop back passer who can run but is not in JG's class as an athlete. JG has a stronger arm but his issue is accuracy.

It's very close overall IMO. I think they both do things the same yet have other areas where one has advantage over the other so evens out.

JG has the arm strength and athletic advantage. He is explosive and has the higher ceiling of potential. JG really has potential to be a Mega Star. He needs to work on his accuracy and game progressions/reads. Can tend to get frustrated if things aren't going perfect or his way from what o saw at elite11.

Emory has touch/ accuracy advantage. Dude scream s special, winner, that IT factor. I can't help but see Deshaun Watsonin him .

See I look at JG and think deshaun Watson. I think this redshirt year and backing up dormady next year will give him time to mature and improve and what imperfections he has. I think Jones is a great QB but like you said JG could be special

That would be Oh $t. I think someone in the Jones family may have been offered a job not saying for certain but that sure is a rumor floating around.

Kay didn't even have an attempt in 2011 he RS I assume. So Collaros and Legaux got the snaps (both DT) and in 2012 Legaux had 2x the passing attempts as Kay. Kay's completion % was better in his action in 2012 and his INT/attempt ratio was better. I'm not researching what games Kay played in 2012 vs what games Legaux played cause that's more than I care to do. Kay and Legaux only took snaps together 1 year under Butch; 2012. Point is, an overwhelming number of snaps/attempts in Butch's career have been taken by DT QB's.

Wait, so the kid hasn't even spurned Tennessee at this point but there is a "rumor" that someone at osu "may" have offered "someone" a job.

Solid rumor IMO.

I agree with this totally. I just don't know if we are in any position to be doing anything like that given are recent run ins with Title XI amongst other things. But on the flip side of the coin I for one want to know that the players I have playing for me are coming here because we just flat out recruited the other schools pursuing the player for their LOI not having to offer additional benefits to them or one of their family members.

Like I have said it is nothing more than a rumor that is all. No one said he has already spurned Tennessee. Everyone knows recruiting is a dirty business and I am sure that no one is naive enough to think that it is not. With that being said if you have a way to get a leg up on the competition I am sure most schools do it for the elite prospects. I think that Urban has been known to do it on quite a few occasions.

So if jones picks Tennessee, does that mean that the job that osu may have offered to a random person he knows and all of the $$ urb gave him wasn't enough?

Will osu have been outbid in that case or would those rumors then be false?

Oh I get that it's a "rumor". Often rumors start with an Internet poster saying things like this, and how many vol fans will take it from this very thread. Then if jones doesn't choose Tennessee, the rumors become fact.

I don't care but I do find it funny the rumors have already started, and he hasn't even chosen a school.

Some with good character will be turned off and not want to be a part of such cheating and will choose a school that doesn't cheat. Know a few former coaches who have been in NFL as well about schools giving out money in the 70's and 80's when they did not. Elvis peacock choose money and Sooners over the Bulldogs who only offered a scholarship. It was a funny recruiting trail story for sure.

Fwiw, if an osu fan starts making pre-excuses I would ask the same questions.

Honestly waiting for "the kid just ain't that good anyway" posts. All fan bases do it.

Also, where in any posts have I claimed this rumor isn't true? Or that osu "just wouldn't do that"?
