Any chance we take two QBs this year, much like the '13 and '15 classes?

It makes sense. There's a good chance one of Dormady or Jones leaves before fall. If JG wins the starting job who's to say both won't then leave?

We are gonna take 2 this cycle I would guess. Good chance we lose at least one off the current roster.

Not to mention the guy we landed last cycle was a body and little more.

Somebody referenced the Williams kid from GA as someone to watch too. It does seem like 2 will be taken.

Fairly sure they won't name a starter until fall to try and keep everyone here. Only way I see someone leaving before fall camp is if they can see they are outclassed in spring practice.

That's my take on JG if Dormady (or Jones) edges him out...plenty of time to overtake the guy in front of you. In Dormady's case, the clock is ticking a lil faster. He has a redshirt year to burn and if a RS freshman bests him, I think he uses it in a transfer. Sheriron is starting his third season with the RS year already used. They can love this program AND still do the best thing for themselves...doesn't have to be either or.

That won't keep them. Lot of transfers happen before the first game in these same such situations. Bama started Barnett in the FIRST GAME and still lost him.

I don't think that's fair to say. It could turn out to be true or he could turn out to be a superstar that was severely underrated because of his lack of size. Or anywhere in between.

Edit* I agree we probably take 2 this year tho

From Callahan in regards to Penix and our quarterback board.

"Somewhere behind Justin Fields but not terribly far from the top. I wouldn't necessarily say he's No. 2 on the list, but I think they're still sorting out all of those guys behind Fields, recruiting all of them and seeing which guys might be realisitic possibilities. Justin Rogers, Colson Yankoff, Jarren Williams, Penix and Jalen Mayden all look like realistic possibilities right now and seem to be pretty high on the board."

Fields, Mayden and Rogers are my top 3 in no particular order. Would be thrilled with any one of those
