'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

I know many of you do not want to hear this, but back away from the ledge. Some have said we can't get recruits just after we got 10 commits just last month. The over-reaction and doom on JULY 4th is just unreasonable.

Does the Amari Rodgers Clemson thing really sting Butch and staff more than his OWN DAD. Whether it really does or not, the perception from outsiders of the situation is a NO-Brainer.

We still have to trust Butch and the staff because of his track record (and it is July not January or February). Drew Richmond was headed to Ole Miss and Tyler Byrd was headed to Miami. I hope Higgins changes his mind but he will not make or break the class. It hurts more because of him being a 5 star in East Tn that was previously committed. And we should all understand how commitments go by this point.

And what is ironic about this post? This was Clemson not very long ago. They choked many times, in an inferior conference with an inferior schedule.

True, Clemson was 9-4 and 10-3 leading up to their championship run.

This one hurts. But, I fully understand his reasons. He has a good friend at Clemson, they are a top five team now, and he can play basketball in the ACC. That doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong with us, even though the jury is still out on ZA.

Yes, and they changed that by winning. UT will, too. But until we start winning these big games and are back competing for championships, recruits are buying the narrative that UT is a program that chokes when it matters. Win, and the narrative will change... just like it did for Clemson.

He makes enough throws. The amount of yards we put up on the ground have made for tons of easy long gain opportunities.

I've seen way worse QBs than Dobbs have WRs on his team who show up and put up numbers.

They were more creative with slaw dog Worley at QB. Butch allows Dobbs to be creative which is why the passing game looks muddled at times. He also plays a bunch of WRs and they line up at all different spots. Any good passing games keeps players at the same positions "most" of the time. A QB throwing to 6-7 WRs is ridiculous.

so youre saying we shouldve gotten rid of CBJ? and do what? hire another coach that will kill our recruiting and god knows what our record last year wouldve been, 4-8? 3-9? im not saying CBJ is a Nick Saban or whatever but I am saying hes made progress and has brought fire back to this program, something I havent seen in my entire lifetime

I was 5 or so when we won the NC, and I didnt get into football til I was 12-ish and ive done nothing but watch this program fall, for us younger fans, CBJ is our savior
If the man cant win double digit and or make it to ATL with this roster....he cant cut it. If u love mediocricy.....keep him around and enjoy the citrus and music city bowls

Im just annoyed at how we have seen zero improvements from a group who, talent wise, has improved.

Btw what's up Breaker? How's everything ?

I think it's fair to say that if we can't win the East this year, Butch may not be the guy. With this roster.

have we already played this season and I didnt realize it? i never said anything about him not winning ATL, I expect us to be playing in Atlanta this winter, never said I didnt, cmon big dawg get a better argument together, this is the internet you got all day if you need it

I agree with this, a change needs to be thought over, but those saying Butch isnt the one because of last season and losing this recruit, are morons

The misuse of Marqueze North was ridiculous. Early in the year we were feeding Jennings but not throwing to North. He was healthy so there shouldn't have been any excuses. How did he not have one catch week 1? Not even a screen or simple 5 yard route. A WR of that caliber should get the ball as much as Ridley at Alabama. But we throw to Johnathan Johnson over him.

So us choking last year isn't just as bad?

I don't know, how was Clemson's recruiting during their years of perinnel choking?

My point is, of course Dorkbo has proven more at Clemson than Butch has at UT. He's been there more than twice as long. And it's not like his team have exactly been ice cold finishers on the field either.

No, they will have the #1 Rated 5* QB throwing to them for 3-4 years, in a system that Utilizes WR's and turns them into AA's, instead of turning them into NFL caliber Blockers like Azzani does.

I will say.....Azzani doesn't call the plays. The problem is with every offensive coach except for CMG and new TE coach. I would add CBJ to the first group I mentioned

Referencing ONE specific example...maybe your Adderal is a placebo? :dunno:

Example of what?

Kelly was dismissed from Clemson. How is Kelly's situation indicative of anything relating to Hunter Johnson or Clemson's future?

Yep. Thing is, if he wins 10 but doesn't win the East, he will get 2-3 more seasons almost by default. Because he probably will win 9-10 in 2017 as well. But the roster will be on a slow decline without either bringing home some hardware or winning the division.

He's the next Leroy Thompson, will be a great player and will go to the NFL. Other than that, his integrity sucks since he committed to UT two weeks ago

Rumor has it he committed to Clemson a week before that. So, he's just being a man of his word and proving his integrity.

C'mon man!
