No way Hunter Johnson comes even close to the level Deshaun Watson is at. Always thought he looked like a 3star on tape, maybe a low 4 srar at times. Dont think Clemson will be a playoff team once losing Watson. Regardless, I think this decision has more to do with making it to the NFL than playing in a national championship. Why pass up an opportunity to play in your honetown and take them to a long awauted championship appearance? I think it is becuase the road to the NFL looks much better if playing at Clemson.
Clemson has produced some great WR talent in Bryant, Hopkins, and Watkins as of recent. On top of that, there is no doubt regardless of QB play, Higgins will have a great opportunity to pad his stats playing in the ACC. While I don't like the decision, I can understand it.
I agree I watched a playoff game last year where Hunter struggled bad against Indiana competition , well that Saturday I was in Knoxville and I got to talk to hunter and his dad in the parking lot and he was blaming his WR's and his line, but if you turn on Jarretts film against one of the top teams in the nation IMG academy you will see why we were so high on him, film doesn't lie
