'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Stop bashing other programs and stop saying we don't need top in state talent. We do, and we will need to fight for it. That's how it goes. I'm confident we can get him back. Big time talent that we need to keep in state.

I could care less what "someone said" in another thread. all respect to D4H or whoever else might have said it, but Butch listens to them about as much as he listens to me.

No, I doubt Butch sent Higgins away, that is just nonsense. If anything, he may have hoped Higgins might be a peer recruiter for in-state talent. However, with current players getting involved like JRM and Kamara were on NSD, that might not be as much a priority as it was for the '14 & '15 classes.

However, as I am sure others have said by now, it's better for him to do this now than later. Sure the staff, once they get ready, will counter this loss with a quality commit within 30 to 45 days, if not sooner.

Isn't Jalen MacKenzie in the '17 class? Or is he in '18?

Mckenzie is '17 and does not have two functioning knees

Give me CP over any of them any year at Tennessee. Dude would've won the Heisman at a place like Baylor.

While you may know your stuff about a lot of things football, you obviously haven't been watching UT football as long as I have if you think this. There have been many great WR's come through Tennessee that I would take before CP...and that is in no way a slight to CP, that's just how good they were.

I've never seen a WR at Tennessee that could do what he could do with the ball. Put him in Cutcliffe system and he would've went ballistic.

Clemson has been telling every WR that will listen exactly that. And they're listening.

That's bull****. Callaway didn't think it was a problem. It is irritating how some ***** and make mountains out of mole hills. Our passing game isn't like that at all.

CP isn't the most physically talented WR prospect? Who is?

You said he (Higgins) was better than any WR prospect that UT has signed the last 10 years. That's ridiculous.

Preston Williams, Josh Malone, Marquez North, Cordarrelle Patterson, Da'Rick Rogers, Justin Hunter, Denarius Moore, etc. All in the last decade.

Nah CP could do it all and would have with a competent coach. Just feed him the ball and let him work. He ran a lot of routes at Tennessee and consistently won.

He did run a lot of routes, but I'm not SURE he ran the right ones..........i do agree that we needed to feed him the ball. Just not sure that hitting on his designated routes was the way to do it. I am a CP fan!

I'd put CP at the WR level with James Banks and Kelley Washington. Great athleticism that allowed them to make plays at the college level. He had Tyler Bray and James Chaney.

Wouldn't do much better with Coach Cut.
