Landing this guy would be one of the best basketball recruiting pulls ever. He's getting a ton of attention. He's a 5* talent and plays a true point. Tennessee fans have been dying for a player like this.

Would be the best recruiting job since BP got Tobias IMO. Not a slight at Cuonzo by any stretch. Just saying that landing a 5* out of state guy against the big boys is rare. Hope CDT can land this guy.

The one thing really playing to our advantage is he was somewhat under the radar, and was pretty adamant about shutting things down months ago. So while he has blown up to a top 10 player, he doesn't have the typical school list of a top 10 player. Clemson, Illinois, Southern Cal, Va Tech, Tenn, Texas, Oklahoma State and Cincinnati.

That's a very solid offer list, but if he had kept his options open you have to think the blue bloods would've gotten involved as well. Not a slight at all, just saying it's obviously something that's benefited our chances.

It feels like we are really pushing for Evans and aren't ready to take a pg commit until he is off the board.

While UT has targeted some other guys, it seems like Evans is priority #1 for Tyndall.

I will be shocked if we don't make his final 4 tomorrow.

This is the one from Byerly who's close with Evans, so I would guess 4, but who knows.

Fwiw the guy you quoted didn't even spell Evans name right, so take his info with a grain of salt I would say

I'm guessing he's cutting it to 4 but the spelling thing isn't a big deal. It's an honest mistake or possibly an autocorrect. Heck, take a look at the thread title created by you.

I've reported it to mods about 5 times and they've yet to fix it, I caught mine as soon as I did it. Not dogging the guy, but Byerly is one of the most respected recruiting guys out there, especially in the Carolina's so I'm guessing his info is legit. He also said tomorrow, where as the other guy said next Wednesday, not a big deal just saying.

The tweet was from last Thursday (July 31st), making "tomorrow" next Wednesday.
