'15 TN TE Kyle Oliver (UT Signee 2/4/15)

The numbers are definitely getting interesting. Maybe they feel more confident about keeping someone in the class as well. With Bolwes, Orta, and probably Williams on the way out it seems there are a few more spots if we really want this kid

Who is Williams?

I also wonder if Oliver's spot becomes available if the coaches don't call up Jackson Harris (GA commit) and see if there is any interest.

Most felt Jackson is more of an "old school" TE who is much more a blocker than a pass catching player. I for one can see where a very good blocking TE would be valuable, especially with the OL issues. For whatever reason UT did not push for Harris at all. I don't think that will change now. The kid had a lot of options and decided on UGA.

Agreed that a beast blocker would have been nice, but whatevs.

If I am CBJ, his recent visit to Vandy cost him his spot. You hold an offer from UT and they accepted your commitment and you go and visit that dumpster fire in Nashville? Good luck.

I'd be looking to fill that spot with a "best available". Ideally a TE, but would be open to other positions as I think we can get (2) quality TEs in 2016.

Question: How do you know he wasn't asked to look around

Answer: You don't

Why does this bother you so much? You really think a bunch of the lower rated players just decided to look around and take visits? You think they thought it would be safe? Interesting take! IMO, JMO

The TE is heavily used in this offense, and since he's the only one committed, asking him to look around seams odd, especially when you factor in all the recent offers Oliver has received. I'd say it was more of a I'm going to explore my options than a you don't have a spot. Creamer and Oliver are both split TEs, so losing Oliver doesn't really hurt us all that much, especially if we can get on a guy like Angel in 2016. TE isn't a worry. I'd take a switch of Oliver for a Vaughn/Love If Oliver doesn't want to be here.

Our staff has done a great job developing our tight ends, and Alex Ellis is a great example of that. I think we will be fine regardless of what Oliver decides to do.

Ps-him visiting Candy is sort of a slap in the face. He's treading thin ice atm IMO.

That is the visit I am talking about. IMO it should not matter if it was planned or not. If other recruits are losing their spot upon taking visits, Taylor should be held to the same. I can't imagine the UT staff would feel good at all about a VA kid taking a visit to instate VTech. IF the coaches have a reasonable back up plan to Taylor, IMO they should use it IF he makes that trip. JMO

Reasonable Back Up ------> Dylan Jackson

Visiting Ky this weekend. Don't be surprised if the staff lets him flip without a fight.

Feels good to be in this kind of position from a recruiting standpoint.

Texas & Kentucky will chirp that they "flipped" our recruits.
We know the truth though...

Other fanbases will cheer that they beat us out for kids.
While we know offers weren't committable...

Gone are the days of us telling rival posters and fans that we beat them for a kid, only to have them claim their offer to the same kid wasn't committable, or their coaches had "let" them walk.

Now we're the ones. Feels good.

Speaking of non committable offers, I haven't seen TideWarrior in a long time.

I doubt it. Hubbs said this morning that TE is no longer a priority for the 2015 class.

Good. I kept quiet, but was never thrilled here. Bigger fish and needs out there.

Pick up an elite player next year when our TE's are showing out.

You mean you haven't heard?

Tide Warrior is now a non-committable Bammer fan.
I believe he found out the the speaker his uncle took him to listen to was actually Ralph "Shug" Jordan the old Auburn coach instead of Bear Bryant. He may be on so many anti-depressants that he is unable to get on VN.
I know I've not missed him one bit.

I see his words, don't hear them lol

Kyle potentially leaving makes room for adding either another RB, OL, CB, or LB. Not concerned. I think a lot of people forget about Creamer too.

Same here and I'm sure most agree.... One less troll

Never have thought this kid was that great but figured the coaches new what they were doing taking him. With wolf helm and bransiel next year I doubt we really need him.
