I also wonder if Oliver's spot becomes available if the coaches don't call up Jackson Harris (GA commit) and see if there is any interest.
Most felt Jackson is more of an "old school" TE who is much more a blocker than a pass catching player. I for one can see where a very good blocking TE would be valuable, especially with the OL issues. For whatever reason UT did not push for Harris at all. I don't think that will change now. The kid had a lot of options and decided on UGA.
If I am CBJ, his recent visit to Vandy cost him his spot. You hold an offer from UT and they accepted your commitment and you go and visit that dumpster fire in Nashville? Good luck.
I'd be looking to fill that spot with a "best available". Ideally a TE, but would be open to other positions as I think we can get (2) quality TEs in 2016.
Question: How do you know he wasn't asked to look around
Answer: You don't
Why does this bother you so much? You really think a bunch of the lower rated players just decided to look around and take visits? You think they thought it would be safe? Interesting take! IMO, JMO
That is the visit I am talking about. IMO it should not matter if it was planned or not. If other recruits are losing their spot upon taking visits, Taylor should be held to the same. I can't imagine the UT staff would feel good at all about a VA kid taking a visit to instate VTech. IF the coaches have a reasonable back up plan to Taylor, IMO they should use it IF he makes that trip. JMO
Visiting Ky this weekend. Don't be surprised if the staff lets him flip without a fight.
Feels good to be in this kind of position from a recruiting standpoint.
Texas & Kentucky will chirp that they "flipped" our recruits.
We know the truth though...
Other fanbases will cheer that they beat us out for kids.
While we know offers weren't committable...
Gone are the days of us telling rival posters and fans that we beat them for a kid, only to have them claim their offer to the same kid wasn't committable, or their coaches had "let" them walk.
Now we're the ones. Feels good.
Speaking of non committable offers, I haven't seen TideWarrior in a long time.
You mean you haven't heard?
Tide Warrior is now a non-committable Bammer fan.
I believe he found out the the speaker his uncle took him to listen to was actually Ralph "Shug" Jordan the old Auburn coach instead of Bear Bryant. He may be on so many anti-depressants that he is unable to get on VN.
I know I've not missed him one bit.
