With Dylan Jackson visiting LSU and things seemingly opening up there, things could get interesting real soon with us pushing for Philips. I know Jackson plans on being an EE so we should know something relatively soon there.
Agreed. The LSU mods on 247 are saying that Jackson is the #1 DE on Chavis's board. I would be surprised if he's a Vol after the visit.
its funny to think chavis thinks hes one of the best de in the country, yet most vol fans on volnation want to move him to offensive tackle.....im guessing this chavis fellow is a bad coach and doesnt know what hes talking about
:birgits_giggle::good!:
Drove down to Winchester to watch Hillsboro last night, a couple notes on the game. Take them for what its worth (which isn't a lot)
V. Perry is the real deal. Great hands, had 4 TDs I believe. It was at least 3. At one point, the QB threw the ball right into the DBs hands and Perry ripped the ball ot of his hands on the way down. Made difficult catches, just an overall impressive game.
Please don't think I'm bashing Phillips. I'm not. I was curious how they ranked Phillips a 4* and got to see for myself, I'm not sure why he's rated so high.
He gave up on plays. One point there was a fumble but he was too busy looking to the sidelines with his hands up to see the ball 5 yards in front of him. We was blocked pretty easily, just didn't look like he was giving much effort at all. He was in on tackles that they ran the ball right at him. Pursuit was zero.
Some other things I noticed that concerned me but not worth mentioning. I don't understand the rating. Never did. and now I'm really curious. Like I said I'm not bashing or criticizing, but I've read this book before. If we miss out on him, we shouldn't be too disappointed

I am glad your opinion is your opinion. I am not taking up for Kyle because he is my cousin but I feel I need to speak on this comment. I speak to Kyle all the time and ask my family "Why is (Kyle) his stats low?" Kyle and my family both told me that he is being played too much. Kyle is on the field for O Tackle and D End. --Which means he never comes off the field (90+ Plays). I am his hardest critic I am sure of that. And I see why he is 4*. His size plus speed and agility at his size is unreal. Potential. I also want to touch bases on Ole Piss.... Well, lets say Ole Piss is a serious contender. He took his OV to Ole Piss for the TN and OM game. --Very serious contender. Last but not least I want him to be a Vol . VFL!
Not going to get him. Why would he jump into a dumpster fire....
Been talk on here about Kyle potentially playing OT in college. What's his preference DL or OL?
