From Rivals:
Ole Miss will entertain two official visitors this weekend, both from the state of Tennessee.
Nashville defensive end
Kyle Phillips, a Rivals250 standout from Hillsboro High School, is set to visit officially this weekend. Phillips was in Oxford two weeks ago when Ole Miss beat Alabama. He spent last weekend in Knoxville checking out the Volunteers.
As for the weekend in Oxford, Phillips said, "It was crazy. It was wild. People were going nuts and its as a really good experience," Phillips said. "I love the atmosphere. The coaching staff is one of the best ones, personality-wise. I have a good relationship with coach (Maurice) Harris and coach (Chris) Kiffin. I just like it a lot."
Phillips has gotten to know the Rebels' staff more over the last few months and likes that he would have the possibility to help early in his career.
"I just feel good about them. They're just telling me I'm their main guy and things like that," Phillips said. "I like that I have the chance to play there early, also. I could go down there midyear and could play early. They have a good thing going at Ole Miss right now."
Phillips said his time in Knoxville was "nice. My brother got to go with me and it was his first time going so that was good for him to see. He saw the facilities and he talked to the coaches and things like that. He had a good time. And then, just getting around the coaching staff more and getting more comfortable with them and getting around the players and I know a lot of them now."
Phillips has the opportunity to be an early enrollee but is "still deciding" what he plans to do, per an interview with Volquest.com. "I'm not 100 percent sure what I'm going to do because I'm going to set up to where if I do enroll early I can but if I don't I can change my mind and I can finish out the rest of the year in high school."
Phillips maintains a top five of Tennessee, Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU and Ohio State, in no order.
Another Nashville product, Rivals250 cornerback
Ugo Amadi, committed to Ole Miss earlier this year. He'll be making his official visit to campus this weekend. Penn State is making a strong push for Amadi, but all signs point toward his holding firm with the Rebels.
