'15 TN DE Dylan Jackson (former UT commit)

Watching Dylan's impressives film and looking at these stats. All of which seem to be great for a HS junior.

4.87 sec Dash
28.5" Vertical
345 lbs Bench Press
440 lbs Squat

I think the guy will get even better this coming year and be a beast for us on D with him and Butcher being Terrors on the edge of the D.

Hope I'm proved right! :)
:salute:

Well, I think most project him at OT :good!:

yeah I just figured it was poster's speculation. Guess we'll see how it all plays out this year. :)

That is all speculation at this point. One thing is certain, he has great instincts at DE, and that isn't something that you can coach. May have the frame for OT, but at this point, he is a DE all the way.

No problem with any of that...kid's being straightforward and honest. He's gonna enjoy the process...as he should. Only happens once in a lifetime so good for him.

Not nearly enough panic in this post. In fact, it was way too rational.

Try again.

Kid is huge and quick! And has nothing more then more growing to do. Have seen him play and he stands out well on the field. Very dominate knocking down balls casue he's so tall! Great pick up by UT! Now everyone is offering

+1. He's a big-time prospect. Very few kids have the athleticism he does with that kind of size and frame. He is just huge and has a ton of room to fill out over the next few years.

Edit: Just saw TriCities posted this already

@Volquest_Paul: Tennessee commitments @ButcherAndrew1 and @djackson8901 say they are ready to do work at the #RivalsCamp

I think he would beca awesome de for us but I also are where he could be a great lt too. I'll wait and see if he is able to put that extra weight to be a left tackle, even though he does have the frame and is already a big kid it may be hard for him to put on that extra 40-50 lbs. some people it's easy some people it's very hard to put on weight. I guess it's nothing the peanut butter couldn't fix.

If Im his dad, and its obvious I'm not, I would be steering him towards LT. But, I hope he plays wherever he wants to play.

Jackson was impressive at the camp. He was very coachable and he kept improving with each rep. He got a lot of ooh's and ahh's from the players and people watching. The coaches running the event loved him from what we could tell. He is an impressive looking kid physically.

First off, Tennessee's three commitments had nice days today. I know coming into the even some wondered how Dylan Jackson and Zach Stewart would do coming into Georgia going against a lot better talent than they were used to.

Jackson still has to continue to get bigger and stronger and play a little lower, still plays a little too upright, but he comes off the ball quick for a guy with his length. Those long arms make it hard to get into him and he was able to get around the edge several times today.
