different backs. both helluva players. Reid's 65 yard TD versus Butler, one of the top two programs in the state at the 4AA level, was his lone carry of the scrimmage.

I just started working over at Hickory Ridge down the road.

Plan on going to see Reid play during that game and probably the Kannapolis game too.

In North Carolina high school football, it doesn't get much better at running back than Concord senior Rocky Reid. He's the focal point of the Spiders offense, and everyone knows it.

Said senior Rocky Reid, "That fuels me. That makes me want to work harder and be an even better running back than I was last year." And that would be some feat considering Reid rushed for over 3,000 yards last year.

"He's got the ability to change directions," said Concord High School head coach Glen Padgett. "He's got the ability to run downhill, he's big, he's fast and strong,"

Said Reid, "Every time I touch the ball, I'm just thinking, get into the end zone."

If u remember, Gurley wasn't evaluated as high as Keith Marshall going in as freshman (by rivals of course).

Y'all thinking we drop this kid are silly, he's gonna show out this season. Trust our coaches evaluation of his talent, if CBJ took his commitment we shouldn't be concerned.

imo, im inclined to agree with you. Fraiser has a tremendous amount of ability. but Reid is just a beast. Now 6'1, 215-220 range and stronger and faster. hes a more complete back than fraiser.

With Reid getting bigger, stronger, and faster I'm starting to think he will end up the best in the state too. I love Frasier, but Reid has taken his game to another level. I love his work ethic and attitude. We are getting a great one imo.
