JMO, but I'm basing it on very few local kids in this area get a lot of attention from big time universities. Since a lot of us live in this area, we tend to errantly think these kids are better players than they really are. And I know there are several exceptions, but as a rule blue chip recruiting is not that strong out of the East Tennessee region. His offer list looks very impressive from an academic standpoint, but athletically where games are won on the field, I just feel like we are in on some players more physically suited to get Tennessee to the next level.
I may look dumb but I do know that. It is a line from Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. Perhaps not as memorable a line to others as it was to me. :banghead2:
I know this will come across like an arse, but why would anyone agree with your opinion vs that of CBJ who accepted the commitment? Nobody held a gun to CBJ's head to accept the commitment. CBJ's paid handsomely to make these decisions and by all accounts is doing tremendously on the recruiting end. Arm chair recruiter second guessing the staff makes no sense to me?
Then why bother having a message board? We may as well follow your lead and blindly agree with every decision a person makes because they are deemed a head coach at a major university. By your rationale every person that coaches in college football is qualified and should never be questioned. Let me ask you this, when did you realize your philosophy was hot garbage when Dooley was running the show here? Not saying Butch is as incompetent as Dooley, but to this point all of the praise he has received is based on how it seems things are going here based solely on recruiting and what he did at mid major schools. You don't want to acknowledge my comments, that's fine. But don't insinuate what other people should do based on your opinion. Because that does make you sound like an arse, and a delusional one at that.
