Answer my question and I'll tell you what impact it may or may not have.
My next question is what does a message board have to do with reality?

Read between the lines and my opinion of Butch, his system, and his assistants will reveal itself.

As for your second question, a sports message board, when managed properly as this one is 99 percent of the time, is first and foremost a delivery mechanism for unfiltered opinions emanating from people of different backgrounds, viewpoints, and personalities. Its impact on the team only exists in the minds of those arrogant enough to assign significant meaning to their opinions.

He does run a spread, but he has always utilized a fullback in his system.

No, he hasn't "always" used a FB. The last time he ran his system full time, he was at Purdue with Drew Brees and Kyle Orton. The FB was largely non-existent in that offense. Since he left the NFL he's been running other people's offenses, namely Kiffin's and Bielema's.

So you have no opinion of Butch, his system or his assistants. That's what I seen when I looked between the lines (since one can't read what's not there).
The second part seems to indicate that you would fall into the arrogant minded group.

He used a FB here... Always doesn't mean every play. As you mentioned, if he was running Kiffin's system he was definitely using a FB as Kiffin is widely known for his ability to utilize the FB position effectively. Thing is, Kiffin was only here for one year, yet we still used a FB when he left...

Not that it matters, but I really don't want an argument here. I wasn't trying to say Chaney used FB every play, but he did always run packages with a FB in his system. We don't even have a FB on our roster, nor do we ever hike the ball under C. I think we hiked the ball under C, what 2-3 times this year?

WTF?

Why can't you just come out and say what you think about "Butch, his system, and his assistants" instead of making us decipher your encrypted messages so your opinion can "reveal itself"?

The good deputy can't come out and say what he feels. Why, you ask? It is because he has no clue about what he is talking. All he does is spew forth thinly veiled digs at CBJ and staff. He is one of the more negative people around here and you are better off getting football information from a Chinese peasant working in a rice paddy.

Good call. I figured it was because he didn't want to go on record. That way, if Butch continues to improve and wins some SECCGs and NCs, he can say, "See, I knew he'd be good all along." If Butch somehow fizzles out, he can say, "See, I knew he was a loser."

Hence my username, about time someone put two and two together!

Time will tell...

Yes, time will always tell. Insightful.

... and I hope I'm wrong.

So are we to infer that you think the staff and their system are no good? Okay, for the record...

How many years will Butch be here?
What will his overall winning percentage be?
How many SECCG will UT play in, and how many will they win, with Butch at the helm?
How many New Year's Six bowl games will he take UT to?
How many times will UT reach the playoffs under Butch?
