Answer my question and I'll tell you what impact it may or may not have.
My next question is what does a message board have to do with reality?
He does run a spread, but he has always utilized a fullback in his system.
.Read between the lines and my opinion of Butch, his system, and his assistants will reveal itself.
As for your second question, a sports message board, when managed properly as this one is 99 percent of the time, is first and foremost a delivery mechanism for unfiltered opinions emanating from people of different backgrounds, viewpoints, and personalities. Its impact on the team only exists in the minds of those arrogant enough to assign significant meaning to their opinions.

No, he hasn't "always" used a FB. The last time he ran his system full time, he was at Purdue with Drew Brees and Kyle Orton. The FB was largely non-existent in that offense. Since he left the NFL he's been running other people's offenses, namely Kiffin's and Bielema's.
WTF?
Why can't you just come out and say what you think about "Butch, his system, and his assistants" instead of making us decipher your encrypted messages so your opinion can "reveal itself"?
The good deputy can't come out and say what he feels. Why, you ask? It is because he has no clue about what he is talking. All he does is spew forth thinly veiled digs at CBJ and staff. He is one of the more negative people around here and you are better off getting football information from a Chinese peasant working in a rice paddy.
Good call. I figured it was because he didn't want to go on record. That way, if Butch continues to improve and wins some SECCGs and NCs, he can say, "See, I knew he'd be good all along." If Butch somehow fizzles out, he can say, "See, I knew he was a loser."
Time will tell...
... and I hope I'm wrong.
