'15 LB FL Cecil Cherry (former Vol commit)

This is Vintage Cherry...

"Cherry intercepted a pass and returned it 41 yards to set up his own 34-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.."

-247

Lol.
Reminds me....
He can block, tackle, score the touchdown, snap the ball and kick the extra point.

He will fill up the gatorade, walk the dog and paint your back porch

He will paint it purple with yellow polka dots...and you will thank him! :aggressive:

I doubt he physically forced the fumbles. I'm pretty sure the ball carrier just chunked the ball in his general direction as he saw Cherry approaching.

Here's the real story:

Cherry is actually a Jedi Knight and used The Force (while blindfolded no less) to strip then recover the fumble.

"But Falcons, if Cecil can use The Force then why doesn't he use it to strip the ball EVERY time?"

Because Florida HS football rules states that Force users may only use The Force thrice per game. Don't get greedy, kid. Go look it up...

It's legit.

Cecil Cherry is my favorite recruit in this class, maybe my favorite prospect in some years. Every play of his highlight film has me like  in anticipation of the inevitable big hit. Once Cecil goes in for the tackle, the buck stops there; literally no yards after contact on any of his tackles.

It must be absolutely terrifying for opposing high school offensive players to know that Cecil Cherry awaits you on the other side of the ball.

Only way Cecil starts as a Fresh is if he is the next coming of Urlacher. Bryant and Jakob will both be ahead of him. Once Bryant transforms his body, he'll be elite imo

As much as we play nickel, I think JRM and Bates spend the most time on the field next year. Bryant and JJ duke it out for 3rd LB against run heavy teams.

Cherry, Butcher & D'Andre Walker are 3 of the most violent and devastatingly effective tacklers I've seen on the HS level.

Who's gonna lead the defense in the near future? Cherry or McKenzie? I'd definitely be alright with co-leaders. Hell, Tuttle might chime in and make it a three headed monster.

Barnett, kelly, jrm and sutton may have something to say about that as well. Thats a hell of an all star cast right there. Effing insane potential.

FWIW, he had 17 total tackles in that game including the 10 unassisted.

The seven assisted tackles were actually teammates that could not get out of Cecil's way quick enough :)

It looks like they will make a full recovery and be released from the hospital sometime this week.

From everything I've read Tuttle is a quiet and shy guy that lets his play do the talking. I definitely think Cherry is going to be one of the vocal leaders of the defense (and team in general) in the future.
