'15 LB FL Cecil Cherry (former Vol commit)

Maybe I missed it, but what is the point in comparing a Junior middle linebacker and a Freshman corner? To argue who is better at their respective positions?

Madkins said AJ was the best player on our defense I simply asked did he think he was better than Sutton. The other poster hopped in saying undoubtedly. I want to know how. Sutton made more big plays his first year than AJ has in 3. But I'm not about ramp this thread up.

I'm out back to Cherry....

Maybe the fact that Cherry will be in Knoxville in a year is what scared zo away

That's really the only explanation. Shoot, i'm not bringing my sons to any games in the next four years because he may bludgeon some poor fool at midfield......

... across the middle, of course.

In 2013, yes.

I think Sutton has the opportunity to have a better career than AJ, but I think AJ was the better player in 2013.
if you mean by tackling a player after he's already made a first down then yes, aj was awesome

Mr. Cherry is the Cousin of former Tennessee running back Tony Thompson. I just learned something. Mr. Cherry is a legacy!

Late to the party but I think it's a pretty tough call. I can't imagine our defense last year without either player. Think I'm with more madkins though. Sutton probably a better player, but AJ greater impact on the defense overall when it comes to leadership, calls, etc.
