All I'm saying is that I believe he will redshirt at Alabama or Georgia, while he would be no worse than the second team RB at UT, and probably end up starting by years end.
Is there a quote anywhere from Kamara that he has been told he would play as a true freshman or be redshirted. I have seen neither and would interested in reading those quotes.
I know his commenets about UA were he was told opportunity is there but it would be up to him an dwhat he does with it. As most recruits said they have been told you have to work hard and earn everything.
According to Saban UA is having to start all over again and rebuild the program for the 2013 season. Remember it is about the process which began 2 days after the NC game.![]()
If he goes to GA or AL - I wish him well except for one game every season. The silver lining will be it really helps us with Nick Chubb in 2014.
Why would I be giddy about UGA getting the last visit. He has made a big deal about which school will get it and it appears UGA is in the driver's seat at the moment.
Move this thread to the NCAA forum. He is not coming to Tennessee so I couldn't care less about him. Wish no ill will on the kid but he is irrelevant to me. I dont care about the damn state of Alabama or Georgia for that matter.
I agree and I'm damn tired of pandering to 17 year old kids that don't bleed orange. We have the best facilities, academic resources and rabid fan base out there. After they visit if they still are "confused" or "indecisive"...skarew them! We need kids that see this place and are blown away and would give their left nut to be here! If AK wants to be 3rd string and/or redshirt at UA or UGA...BYE BYE.
There's a new precedent being set in CFB. Alabama is disrupting the pattern. It's starting to look a lot less attractive to go to a premier program that needs immediate help. It's looking really prosperous to go the route of Alabama where you can ride the pine for a year, backup a starter for year, be a star for a year, and then go pro with very little wear and tear on your body. Guys like Lattimore are showing what 3 years of college starting can do to your body before you ever get the opportunity to get paid for it.
For us, all we see are the 3-5 years a player is here, which is ultimately where our concern begins and ends. It seems obvious to us that a top tier player should WANT to come here and find immediate playing time. From what these guys are seeing now, that may be unattractive. They have to look at the bigger picture and, for now, Alabama has the best path to success for that position.
God, I hate Alabama.
