Torrance Gibson's Status, Travis Waller's Offer, Andre James' Visit and More | Eleven Warriors
(Article)THE GIBSON SITUATION
As documented recently, there are some red flags surrounding Torrance Gibson, the nation's top-ranked athlete in the 2015 class. Rumors of altercations at school and an overall shift in his attitude had started to contribute to some wondering whether or not he was worth pursuing.
Despite those flags, Gibson's talent keeps people clinging to the idea of "if we can just get him on campus, maybe things will shift." Unfortunately for Ohio State, Gibson's been unable to make it to campus, despite a number of trips to other colleges, some as far away as Norman, Oklahoma.
He recently spent a number of days in Knoxville, Tennessee and has already scheduled a return trip for later this month. That trip came after a repeat visit to Auburn, and the Buckeyes, despite repeated efforts to get him to commit to a visit; have been unable to secure one.
Why is that? How is that? That's anyone's guess. Clearly there are people around Gibson who've had no issues getting him where he wants or is asked to be, yet Ohio State's been left out of the picture.

You know a thread is bad when a post from pedigo makes the most sense.
If I were to guess? Oscar Meyer was selling him on being "the man" and the 1 QB he took in 2015. Ohio State per quotes from Gibson started to back off him. When Meyer took Burrows, Gibson IMO more less eliminated them at least for now. All the other school take QBs(which looks like will happen), and maybe they get back in it IF he ever visits Columbus.
I got in trouble for that the other day and apologized but there are 2 to 3 others that have been doing ALOT of that in this thread, so don't start singling me out.
I have absolutely ZERO problem with anyone else having a different opinion than me. My problem is that there is about 4 posters give or take, that are in here regularly and they take personal shots at the kid which is uncalled for. If you haven't noticed, THAT'S when this thread blows up quickly. I'm sure you're smart enough to figure out who these people are when you look at the traffic in this thread.Code:
You don't think TG will be a QB? Fine, cool whatever. It's their opinion and they're entitled to it, no matter how delusional it is.
Ragging on the kid for having transportation problems, then using that as a way to say he's scared of competing? That's grade-A bull**** and completely uncalled for imo.
At this point, I doubt he even visit's that craphole up in Ohio. The great UM is finally finding out what life is like outside the SEC. And recruits are finally figuring out that great players make great coaches and not the other way around. Oop's, hang on a minute, think I have a heart murmur or a tebow coming on.
Hate to say anything but it's not like he exactly struggled in his 1st year at Ohio st. Not that they played anybody worth mentioning in the majority of their games. Just don't think the fact that he went undefeated last year really helps your argument against his coaching.

Its a business, Gibson told govols247. When a kids decided to commit and hes ready to commit, you cant hold that against him. I feel like I (still) can go in and play early (at Tennessee). I have no problem with competition, and I have no problem competing for the job. Thats what football is all about, is competing and having fun.
