You're the one making the claims, not me. The burden of proof is on you. Assumptions are never a safe thing. The only thing they do is lead to stupid ideas.

There is absolutely nothing obvious out there that proves anything about how good Gibson can become as a passer.

Of course I did link an article where Gibson was up for a throwing award from ESPN. I mean it was a great throw and it's funny top guys like Rosen and Town didn't have any of their throws up for the award. But whatever.

Let me get this right. The guy is a 5 star, is obviously extremely talented, and we're sitting here debating whether we want him on our team because he is on twitter a lot. Good Lord.

Ok...I stayed off this thread yesterday but...how does anyone "work to keep talent off" a team?...unless they're a coach or someone that has Butch's ear? These are OPINIONS on a message board! Yay Nay Undecided?! That's it! Perspective people! :no:

I'm starting to think that may not be the case. Take UT's "offer" as an example. How many teams are starting to do as UT does? The UT "offer" showing for about 85-90% of the 300 showing are not-committable and don't really mean much. When considering that, I'm not sure offer lists mean anything.

Pretty sure Mixon was a 5.7 3star on rivals with a pretty good offer list in '13 class. He had to retake the act or something and sat out a year, rivals didn't re rank him in the '14 class.

Even if 1 of the 3 transferred that would still leave UT with 4 QBs on scholarship. What's the problem?

You people are delusional if you think that message board chatter would somehow keep talent off of the team. If there is a recruit who wouldn't come play for UT because a couple of people on VN didn't like his game, then I wouldn't want that kid on the team anyway.
