I heard after the season and his 5 OV's.

Hardly seems early, more like pretty much on schedule. This is the part of recruiting that I hate, the build up, the suspense and the long wait. Hopefully we come out on the right side of the result for once, we definitely need him. Thanks for the reply.

If someone wants a good laugh, go look at Gibson's twitter. Apparently, TG made a snapchat and he's been adding UT fans nonstop. They're going ape**** like a teenage girl in the 50's seeing Elvis lol. This is hilarious.

These remarks from that article really encapsulate the "just-scratching-the-surface-of-his-potential" argument quite well:

"He’s only played the quarterback position one year. Ever. It’s the game’s most difficult position and Gibson threw for 1,864 yards and 19 touchdowns while rushing for 1,032 yards and 10 touchdowns leading his team to a state championship. In year one of ever playing the spot. And he’s playing in Florida, the state that produces [the] most Division I talent in America and in Broward County, one of the most loaded counties in the that state and nationally in terms of speed and talent. That’s why everyone in America recruits there. He’s going up against super talent week in and week out and knocking it out of the park in his first try at the position. All of his mechanical, physical and mental development at the position lies ahead of him in the years down the road. He’s just scratched the surface at the position."

Ok so the dude only started playing QB last year. Once again I say to the people who don't want him. You are completely nuts.

Especially considering that if we don't get him, he'll probably be at Aubarn tearing it up. And if not the barn then up at OSU with Urby. Neither of those scenarios seem desirable to me.

Me think osu has peed on the fire and called the dogs on Gibson...

Wow, Bartow's write up makes me, makes me want to :dance2:

1 year. Upside is unthinkable.

I've been saying from the start that TG has bonafide superstar potential. He may be raw but players with his abilities and skillset don't grow on trees.

1 year. 1 year and as stated in the article, is playing real, real good competition every week, coached by ex-pro's, and he won and won impressively----in his 1st year. And he has passion and a work ethic with his game, there are amazing possibilities to think what he could become.

Add in Jennings, who is pretty impressive and raw as well. Would be nice.

100% agreed. I'm glad others are starting to see the light.

I think if Gibson isn't committed verbal or silent by Monday he will be a auburn tiger. Just to meany quarterbacks that we r in on right now.

I think Tennessee will take 2 QB's this class and Jennings won't be counted as one, officially.

I agree. They can't risk putting all their eggs in the Gibson basket since he is deciding later in the process. Jennings is not guaranteed to play QB and even with Gibson he gets labeled an athlete more than a QB. They need to get atleast one pure QB, hoping its Dormady or Darnold. Really like Darmady and hoping its him.

If the coaches don't see them as playing QB, I doubt they would take them. Both have said they want to be college QBs. Jennings was quoted as saying he would only consider schools signing him as a QB. Why take QBs who may not end up playing QB and risk hurting your future QB recruiting?

I also see no way they try and sign 3 QBs in 2015. Yes, that includes Jennings.
