Even if UT is actually his #1? If everyone is so sure that is the case, I'd say put the kid on the spot. We just lost a QB. If you want in, we need an answer. If you want to wait, we are just letting you know we are looking at other options who are ready to decide much sooner.

I think they are looking at other options and he has not flinched yet. However, he may think and he may be correct that with Ferg gone, he can wait even if they get one more guy right now.

Malzahn is a coach who had the most ridiculously lucky season in the history of college football. I'm not quite prepared to crown him the Vince Lombardi of our time.

Malzahn is a beast been watching him coach since high school. He knows how to identify players and what position he can get the most potential out of them.

Ohio State, longtime in the lead group for the nation's No. 1 dual-threat QB*Torrance Gibson, picked up a commitment on Tuesday from 4-star QB Joe Burrow. How does that influence Gibson? The standout at Plantation (FL) American Heritage notified 247Sports Tuesday afternoon to adjust his profile from 'warmer' to 'warm' in regards to the Buckeyes and move Auburn from 'warm' to 'warmer.' Gibson also plans to return to Auburn this weekend for its 'Big Cat' Weekend. He's uncertain if he'll attend Tennessee's QB camp in June at this time. Gibson will release his final 7 in order later this week on 247Sports.com. Look for Tennessee and Auburn to remain as the top two.

I don't see Gibson ending up at Tennessee. Honestly, with all of this Twitter list drama, he seems like a bratty little attention whore, and I'd much rather take a mature kid who gives it to you straight (Hurd, Malone, Worley, to name a few).

I think this kid ends up being a bust no matter where he goes. Just my opinion.

Have you forgotten Malone's recruitment already?

I ain't gonna lie and say I'm not wondering if this isn't the case, too, given what we've heard reported. But, I'm taking the optimistic approach, and hoping he's a better kid than it looks on the surface.

The media and fans always judge things too quickly and harshly, with very little info to base it on. What if CBJ simply wants him to commit on ESPN during one of these high profile camps...to give the program more media exposure? Didn't Bates do something like this last summer?

If that is the case, here we are fussing at him for not committing sooner. If he does commit, I think the whole Ferguson departure is a sobering object lesson for him. You had best come in here with your head screwed on straight and willing to work your arse off to be the best QB you can be.

Exactly. But it's not like Bates was seriously going to go anywhere else. This kid, to my knowledge, has no ties to the T. He does, however, seem to like attention. A lot of coaches, no matter how talented he is, are going to leave him behind because of this.

Terrell Pryor ring a bell?

Attention whore with a piss poor work ethic and a HUGE ego...doesn't quite sound like an Aaron Murray, Connor Shaw, AJ McCarron, Tim Tebow, Casey Clausen, Chris Leak, or any other top SEC QB.

or... Justin Worley, Josh Dobbs

Because I think he has a ****ty work ethic and primmadonna mentality, I have a bad attitude?
I wouldn't say you have a bad attitude. Just think you are a kind of a douche for calling TG a "bratty little attention whore" as well as for the classic "bust no matter where he goes" comment. Also, love that you put "Just my opinion" at the end there like it somehow makes up for being a turbo douche.

Just curious. IF he releases his "Final" 7 and they are in order, why not just commit? I mean if it's "final", would the school at the top not be where he is going?

Do you always hang on every. single. word. that these kids say? Or are you being facetious? Either way I think you should take a break. :good!:

I agree with this!

However, I think the final aspect relates to the final schools in the running to land him, in order of current preference - not the final list in order.

I agree with your assessment of him but an inferiority complex seems to be leaking into your posts..."no way" and Butch don't mesh.

Does it bother anyone else that he wants to be a QB in college, but he is skipping a chance to attend a Gruden QB camp where he could showcase his QB skills? Especially since the camp is at his #1college?
