Interesting notes from the Sooner board on Gibson:
Tennessee is his favorite right now. I really dont think he is coming to OU, or that we are really in it. I think the depth we have at QB will be a deterrence.
Might change his mind after OU beats that ass
Don't worry. He's not going to Tennessee either after we destroy them. We are physically loaded at QB so it will be hard to sell a lot of talented, near-ready to play recruits to sit on the the bench for 2 or more years. Until we have physical movement at QB, a lot of top rated QB will look elsewhere. The nature of the beast.
Beating TU's vols will be VERY important, (and the houndogs will be SKY HIGH to beat OU) this sept.
If OU doesn't win by 4 touchdowns it is a terrible omen for the season. That is a bad, inexperienced team playing an early season game against a team that's supposed to be a title contender. Tennessee is a 5-7 team. We need to absolutely massacre them.
This OU team is loaded with a lot more talent, is playing at home, and returns a metric ****ton of starters from a team that stomped Alabama last year. Tennessee is a 5-7, 6-6 type team. OU needs to mudhole them, or it's a big disappointment. The Tennesse game I would say is the 4th easiest on the schedule, behind Tulsa, La Tech, and Kansas.
