Braxton was fundamentally more sound at this point, but Gibson has another year left plus this summer to improve. Further, Gibson is a better athlete. So it's basically a wash IYAM.

Agreed. With a kid like TG get him to campus and find a package to use his athleticism.

After seeing what auburn was able to do with nick marshall, I'd love to have some packages like that with Gibson and Hurd in the backfield.

I'm willing to change my opinion on this dude if he wins the starting QB job for his HS and puts up crazy stats, including passing yards and td passes, not just rushing yards.

Don't disagree. Just thought it was weird

My thinking is- I'm not gonna hold a camp I didn't see against him when I don't know the circumstances.

All I have to go on is his tape and it's unreal. No doubt in my mind he would be a BIG time playmaker in some way at the next level.

If you're winning like his school has been doing, they prob won't try to fix something that's not broken.

His numbers last year were pretty good.

85/153 1789 yds 19tds 3ints 111 rush att 1063 yds 10tds

Almost as many rushing attempts as passing attempts. I'm okay with a QB like that if he can make his passing attempts count. I'm not yet convinced he can.

anybody with a sub?

Here is some of it : first paragraph talks about him wanting to play QB most. Last predicts him to tOSU.. With us right behind

"Though reluctant to name any leaders, Gibson admits there are some other schools that have made a strong impression on him.

"Ohio State, Tennessee -- they are standing out a little bit," Gibson said. "I like the Tennessee coaches, and their fans are amazing. Miami of course, Florida, Oklahoma -- those are just a few that kind of stand out, but I’m wide open.

"I’m going to take some visits over my spring break. I’m going up north and work my way down. I’ll go to Oklahoma, Tennessee, Auburn, Clemson, LSU, Alabama, South Carolina and Florida.”

The No. 2-ranked athlete for the 2015 class has had Ohio State near the top of his list for some time, and that hasn’t changed.

“I like Ohio State, they just need to keep talking to me, I have to get up to campus and see the campus and everything,” he said. "But right now they're up near the top, they are up there."

Gibson is planning to make his final decision around signing day.

About his recruitment: There is no questions Gibson enjoys the recruiting process and will let his recruitment play out until the end. The talented athlete will have a chance to really get a feel for some of his favorite schools when he goes on his spring recruiting tour. Getting a chance to see Tennessee and Ohio State, schools that he continues to mention, will help him evaluate each school. Tennessee could use a dynamic playmaker like Gibson in its offense, while the Buckeyes would like an athletic replacement for Braxton Miller."

Why am I pulling for Ohio State to land a recruit?
