'15 FL QB/WR/DB (anything he wants) Torrance Gibson

Jennings was quoted early in the process saying he would only consider committing to a school where he could play QB. He then committed to Tennessee. Take from that what you like.

TG was "told" he was #1 on the UT board.

Tennessee has 2 QBs currently committed in the 2015 class and Torrance Gibson is not one of them.

Once again, take from that what you like.

So you don't think if Gibson would have committed before either of them, the staff would have took him?

I bet that cabin is awesome. Gets you away from some of the lunacy, too. I love it here...

You take the kids to Tweetsie, or are they older than that?

Passed it on the way back to cabin from Boone. Going to go tubing in New River tomorrow then heading to Charleston on Thursday.

I think that is part of the issue here. Obviously they would trade TG for either kid onboard. They may even trade him for both. Just have to be happy our coaches don't think that way.

What makes you think they don't? All reports say they are on TG hard still. So if he decides to commit I'm sure the coaches know that could mean losing one of the other two.

Ok so JJ was told by the staff he could play QB and because HE said that it's solid.

But because Gibson said the staff told him something that's a lie. Your logic is totally flawed.

Burden of proof doesn't work that way. The point is nobody knows, you're right. But what's the downside of taking the commitment from one of the best players in the country?

The downside could be that there is no such thing in recruiting and he could be a bust. Not saying he will, I'd accept it. Point is, NOBODY HERE KNOWS ANYTHING.

*Not aimed at you Train, just trying to stop the arguing over the same topics constantly being beaten. People wonder why all the reputable posters that used to provide good info and discussion keep disappearing

Your dealing in a whole lot of what if's right now. The fact is TG is not a QB committed to UT and Jennings and Dormady are. You don't like it. It's alright.

When you are number one you can wait and know you have a scholly held. Doramady couldn't do that. Gibson knows he has his spot regardless of who is committed.

That's what he'll be telling himself as he's taking snaps at Jacksonville State.

Torrance Gibson

So tell me what position is Gibson listed as.
What does it matter what the services list him as? He and Jennings both only considered schools recruiting them to play QB.

What part of that don't you get? The recruiting services are merely speculating as to what they are. But if the school tells them they are going to play QB, then that's what their position is. The schools and the players know better than any recruiting service.

My logic is pretty clear at least to me. TG was told he was "the man" at QB for CBJ and Tennessee. Since being told this CBJ and Tennessee have taken the commitments of (2), not (1), but (2) other QBs. If TG is "the man", something seems askew at least to me.

I like it very much. I'm just not of the opinion that CBJ has stopped going hard for Gibson, or that Gibson isn't still the best fit. I know we are still going after him and I think he is better than Dormady and a better fit for the o. Dormady is good in case we don't get Tg. Which is what the coaches seem to think by the continued heavy pursuit of Gibson and how long we have pursued him. Great insurance though. Another year I would have been all Dormady. This year we have a good shot to get a potential superstar though.

So where is proof of your only taking 2 qbs theory?
