'15 Fl QB Deondre Francois

Who is your favorite uncommited qb in this class lv?

I did not really have one as I was not a fan till now of taking a 2nd QB. I had mentioned a while ago IF I had to take another scholarship QB, I would go and try to take Jack Beneventi from Iowa. They have 2 QBs committed and the kid had visited UT. I think he had some interest, but no offer. If I am adding a QB to go along with Jennings, I'd feel much safer going with a pass 1st QB.

"Let The Debate"!:)

We like the same prospect!! Agh! Ha but I really liked Jack's film and size.

I'd love any of Gibson, Francois, or Waller of the uncommitted. But Waller= Oregon and Francois is rumored to be FSU bound if they push from what people have said. Darnold and Dungey both had good films too.

Another great option IMO for a passing QB to go along with Jennings would be Quinten Dormady out of TX. He also took and UOV to Tennessee and with an offer I think we would be in that one. With TX taking Gentry, I think he would listen to CBJ. Kid has great size and throws a great ball.

He is uncommitted. Quinten Dormady

Appreciate your opinion. Don't know much about that kid I'll look him up. I think a few names will pop up between now and February.

I see Deondre as a Teddy Bridgewater type when passing with quickness and willingness to run. Still pass first, but a dual threat. Looks like a quicker Dobbs with quicker release. Did not see anything overtly negative.

It may not be his choice. It seems like this one is all over the place. One minute he is a Florida lock, then an Oregon lock then a FSU lock. It basically alot of guessing.

That's recruiting. It can all change in a matter of hours. 1 commitment can trigger a bunch.

I think it's Waller to OR, Francois to FSU, Jones to UF, and it's UT/AU for Gibson. Does 1 or both decide to wait him out?

Some aay FSU seems pretty focused on Kai locksley as their 2nd QB

I actually thought Locksley to au and then Gibson would fall to UT. Then I just noticed today that Kai's dad actually is the offensive coordinator at Maryland. When I saw Maryland was in quite a bit of a lead on the CB's for the kid I was curious why. Dad coaching there explains it.

Yeah...Mike Locksley is a stud recruiter. One of the best in the nation.

Qb recruiting this year reminds me of TE recruiting last year when one of the dominoes fell, then Helm and all the other highly regarded guys quickly committed to ensure their spots.. I could see it going that way with QBs soon.. Just takes the right domino to fall to start it.

Interesting. You would think he would def play for his dad unless he doesn't think they will last there. FSU 247 just put out a new update that Locksley has moved up his date to June to where its a battle between him and Francois for their 2nd QB spot. It seems their Mods and fans prefer Locksley.

These kids better make their move because the Elite 11 is coming and you know some sleeper is going to blow up there like Sean White did last year. An interesting thing I noticed is we offered a few of the recent Elite 11 invitees pretty close to before their invites were announces. Dilfer is a big butch fan maybe he is throwing names out there to Butch looking for a QB

Would love to see one of those dominoes bring someone back around who is already commited. If Spurrier retires or Gibson goes to Auburn, maybe it will cause Nunez or Queen to give us another look. Our situation was attractive with not taking smeone last year. It just got even more so with RFs departure.

Queen was one I really hoped would let his recruitment play out a little as I think he would have done well at UT had the coaches been able to get him. The kid does look like he is 100% au as of today and seems to be fine with them planning to take 2 QBs if they can.

Queen was always going to end up at Auburn. His dad (North Cobb HS's head coach) is a huge Auburn fan and changed the uniform color scheme of the high school to match Auburn's exactly. No doubt that's the dream destination for him and his dad.

So, you'd rather have a 3* QB with offers from Western Michigan and Wyoming than a 5*QB/4*ATH in Gibson or a 4*QB in Francois (both of which have offers from major SEC schools)?

I don't much pay attention to *'s and don't really care if a kid is a 3* or a 5*. Jack also has offers from Louisville, Illinois, Notre Dame, Iowa, and others. I think he could play QB and be successful at Tennessee. Would I rather see him standing in the pocket firing passes to our WRs or Gibson dancing around trying to make a play? I'll take the passer. JMO.
