Bruin sort of hinted that Izundu wasn't a fan of the idea of us taking Alexander. No sure if that was just his opinion, or coming from inside the program. In any case, I doubt taking another post player, no matter how developmental, helps our case with Izundu. That ship is sailing further and further by the day it would seem, though I'd love to be wrong.

Truthfully, I like seeing anyone CB a player to Tennessee, but until recently, Meyer was considered the lockdown CB. I will continue to view his opinion as a positive sign, but with a little more trepidation moving forward.

Without going through everything, can someone recap this kid's recruitment and stock?

I know he is a similar prospect to Tariq Owens that ideally would see a redshirt year. Where do the services have him ranked? What is his real offer list?

Really raw.

6'10" with a 7'4" wingspan. Dad played professionally and his sister is in the WNBA. Just started playing basketball 2 years ago. Really good at running the floor and blocking shots. Ideally would red shirt but is more physically ready to contribute than Tariq was as a freshman. I believe Alexander is about 210 pounds.

Good pickup. Barnes doin what Barnes does.

I am so glad we finally have a coach that recruits players that aren't undersized in the post. No more 6'5-6'8 4s and 5s. Our wings will be as tall as our post were under Pearl, Martin, and Tyndall.
