+1

I usually really pull for us to land all the top instate kids. I just don't find myself concerned with what happens here. If he wants to be a VOL, great. If not, best of luck to him. We are set pretty well at WR going forward.

What makes this easy to move on is that our WR recruiting has been great. Barnett and Gaulden are much more important for us.

Maybe everyone should stop writing him off and badmouthing the guy just because of an article's speculation.

Cheezus Rice

Nobody's bad mouthing him. I think most recognize him a great talent. I think most are saying they won't be disappointed if doesn't choose to be a Vol.

Edit: Ok, maybe a little bad mouthing VVVVVVVV

Oh well, take Booth and call it day at WR. Will make watching Hurd run through the Station Camp D that much sweeter.

Agree. I've never seen any indication that this kid is a top WR talent, and I've seen him play many times. He may have potential (frame, speed, routes), but I have yet to see it on the field. Looks remarkable at the combines, but when he knows that someone can truly lay him out, his on-field production changes. He plays timid, takes dives and lacks the physicality.

Hurd will play safety against Malone this year in the first game of the season. It will be broadcasted on ESPNU. All of Volnation will see first-hand what I'm talking about.

74 who we lookin at gettin this weekend? You think it's gonna be a good one?

Barton Simmons wrote that who isn't the most reliable analyst. There are a ton of UGA fans talking smack on the main board.

If there's any truth at all to the story, UGA, Vandy, and FSU will be there, IMO.

I'm not sold on this kid, because he hasn't ever appeared in love with UT. He's from TN, and isn't bleeding orange, I'm not gonna keep wasting time on him if I'm butch. I want kids who gush with love for our program. I don't think he does.

Btw, before anyone says we shouldn't push kids or pressure them, I agree, IF they haven't been on
Campus or know Tennessee tradition. But that is certainly not the case for a kid growing up in Middle
Tennessee

"Fresh off of recent visits to Vandy, Louisville, Kentucky and most recently Florida State, Josh Malone is very close to announcing his final five which are also the five schools he plans to visit officially before committing and enrolling early in January. It sounds as if that top 5 could come next week.

He's said publicly that Georgia will be on the list. The rest of the five is as yet unnamed.

One school that i do not expect to be on his list is Tennessee. Despite his Crystal Ball reading overwhelmingly in the favor of the Vols, I'm hearing that Tennessee is not going to get one of his five visits and is essentially out of the running"

Geez - Louisville, Kentucky, Vandy... Kid can't be that good. Give me booth and call it a day at WR for 2014!

Booth will take his spot. After Booth goes public this weekend you will see this kid possible move on. Kid is a talent but probably not in orange

This feels just like Jalen Ramsey

Good comparison. At the end of the day, a kid either wants to wear orange or he doesn't. That's fine. I personally don't understand how a Tennessee kid could not want to play for the vols, but that's just me.

Shoot, I can't even bring myself to play for another team on NCAA on PS3!

Well that sucks, because I really like this kids game. But even if the coaches do everything right with the in state kids, there's always still gonna be a couple that get away. All that matters is that MOST in state kids we wanted, we're getting under Butch. If Malone wants to go elsewhere it's a free country. But I'm not gonna sit here and front like the kid is over rated or not that good. Kid is a straight up stud. Whoever gets him will get a talented WR.

He is a talent and will wind up in the Sec. If his recruitment ended today he would be a Dawg 100%
