I could easily see Powell as our 3rd RB too. We have do-it-all Hurd, powerful bowling ball Paulk, and then if we got a 3rd back I bet he fits the exact mold of Powell. Smaller, quick, shifty back.

I could see him as a slot WR too though.

"Powell could fit the Percy Harvin role in this offense." - CZA

See, we can do it, too.

Franklin is a known negative recruiting slimeball. Other coaches can't stand him. U would think that the kids would detect his sliminess when he's bad mouthing other schools and recruits like chris weatherd did...

Desperation will make u do crazy things.

That's really the only tools Franklin has to work with. Telling kids that are looking to play on Sunday's about academic advantages only go so far. If it wasn't for Dooley being so inept, we wouldn't even know who James Franklin is. He would have never gathered any steam.

I have info, but if you want Josh Malone to be a Vol, you probably don't want to hear it. Recruiting is funny though when talking about "kids" and there are several months ahead of us where things could change course.

An outside shot, at best, is what we are currently looking at for our beloved Vols.

Tell the kid we like his game and if we have room closer to NSD when he makes his decision, we would take him. Beyond that, I would not lose sleep over it. WR recruiting looks pretty good.

The only people not predicting Tennessee are two dawg fans, an osu fan, and a candy fan.

I hate Barton Simmons dude is a doucher from way back. He went on 104.5 The Zone in Nashville yesterday and basically said Tennessee would probably end up with a top 15 class i.e. outside of the top 10.

If this guy is going to cause trouble in the locker room then I'd rather not have him. Hurd is the future and I don't want Malone getting in the way of that. He can rot away at Vandy for all I care.

Agree 100%. I'd love to have Malone but if he doesn't like Hurd as a person then how can he like him as a team mate?

It's not all about one player, it's about the team. If Malone wants to be here, you bring him in. It doesn't matter if Hurd or Malone like each other or dislike each other, if they care about the future of Tennessee football then they will put their past aside them and focus on rebuilding the Tennessee football brand.

I would love for Josh to choose Tennessee regardless of his alleged "strained" relationship with Jalen. They're both such talented players, they deserve the best, which is exactly what they'll get by choosing to play in Knoxville for the next four or so years. I'm really rooting for Josh and I wish him the best. And on a side note, I hate to see any player "rot away at Vandy." No one deserves that.

I've seen adversity between teammates work very well. The two I played with tried to out work each other and hold each other accountable to the point it developed into a pretty decent friendship by "setting the bar" every day.
