Timmy, I have been posting UT boards for almost 20 years and my message and delivery has never been an issue with anyone who lives in reality.

In Josh's case, we have a lot of ground to make up if we are to get back into this. It can be done, but it will take time and a lot of hard work.

For those wondering about how he and Hurd's relationship, it is strained at best. Hurd is very outgoing and carefree, while Josh is more cautious and his moves are measured before taking them. They play for opposing teams that are about 5-6 miles apart. That is part of the issue. Then you have the ego side of things where these young men want to be the "alpha dog" in their surroundings.

I could easily see Powell as our 3rd RB too. We have do-it-all Hurd, powerful bowling ball Paulk, and then if we got a 3rd back I bet he fits the exact mold of Powell. Smaller, quick, shifty back.

I could see him as a slot WR too though.

Think your right. Losing Jabo, Powell fits that mold. Especially with it looking like we could have like 18WRs on scholarship in 2014.

Yup. I just found it interesting in his interview he said RB or slot WR. I could easily see him coming in and either RSing or being a returner and then being a COP back to go behind the bigger boys. Also could be used like McCluster at Cincy and KC as more of a receiving RB in two back sets and a hybrid of both positions.

The fact that he brought up the Jalen Hurd and scat back thing sounds like someone (my guess would be Franklin) has been negatively recruiting him against us. Why would a WR care or research what kind of RB Butch has used in the past?... Pretty weird he would bring that up in conversation. Franklin has done a great job of selling this kid to even keep VU in the conversation. Their O-Line and running game will be non existent after next season and they will have an unproven QB with no legit options at WR to throw to... Boy sign me up! I wouldn't trust Franklin as far as I could throw him and sure as hell wouldn't let my son go play for a snake like him.

Franklin is a known negative recruiting slimeball. Other coaches can't stand him. U would think that the kids would detect his sliminess when he's bad mouthing other schools and recruits like chris weatherd did...
