I agree... wish I could do this LOL

And we're around the 13th or 14th best team in the SEC. What's your point? Clemson has been able to recruit with all but the top SEC teams the last 5 years, and unlike UT, they've had some actual meaningful games and BCS bowl games on their resume.

Just as importantly, they have one of the nation's top QB recruits incoming, we don't have one at all.

We're not in a position to mock any other school, especially considering we have a loss to KY and 2 losses to Vandy in recent years.

It would hardly be surprising if Malone chose Clemson.

I think we can mock whoever the heck we want to mock. Our history proves it. We are in the worst stretch of UT football history, and we just happen to be living during it. History proves we have a damn good program, and it won't last forever. Just think about the stock market.

Woody W. from Rivals latest shot in the dark today.

I know most Tennessee fans are wondering what the latest is with Josh Malone so I'll pass along what I know from talking to those close to him. Paul Strelow from our Clemson site will talk to Josh today, but I wanted to let you know what I'm hearing behind the scenes.

Despite rumors of him being locked into Tennessee, etc. that's not the case right now. Malone and his family really enjoyed the visit to Clemson and now it's shaping up to be a three school race over the next week or so, between Clemson, Tennessee and Georgia. He will host in-home visits from all three schools, with Butch Jones heading over to see Malone and his family tomorrow.

Georgia is also expected to be in tomorrow, and Clemson is scheduled to have the last in-home visit on Dec. 2. I'd imagine Tennessee will make several trips over, but right now that's the only one I know of.

Now, I'm not saying that Tennessee is out of it, but Malone really seems to be mulling his options. From what I'm told Tennessee is also looking at some back up options in case things don't work out with Malone, including Rivals250 WR Jamil Kamara, who tweeted about interest from the Vols today.

With only a week or so left until he announces I think there's still many things that could happen but this is how things are looking as of today.

I don't like Clemson having the last in-home visit. I hope Butch goes back over there the night before his decision, if his parents will allow it. If Clemson gets to be the last group of coaches that visit before they sit down and decide, then our chances take a big hit IMO.

I like that Butch gets the inhome visit with him. Butch and his family have a great relationship. I think we seal the deal.

Don't forget he signed the financial agreement papers, so we can have in-home visits with him every day if we want to.

I thought that Malone signing papers with us gave us unlimited contact...guess I assumed that meant visits as well....

If true maybe Clemson doesn't get last in home visit ????

Yes, this is all true, but he also signed them to Clemson, meaning they can visit as much as they want. The Malone family seems like the type of people who will cut off all contact a day or 2 before his announcement, to weigh all options without outside influence. Clemson will visit 2 days before the announcement, so they may shutdown contact after that. If so, I don't like Clemson having the last visit, especially since they haven't been mentioned hardly at all in his finalists and have come out of nowhere to get the last OV, as well as possibly the last in-home. I REALLY hope I am over analyzing, but am starting to get a bad gut feeling with this one. The fact our staff has made contact in the last 24 hours with Kamara also concerns me.

There's no doubt in my mind that if Worley's not hurt
they're playing in a bowl game. I think people shouldn't
dismiss the possibility that he starts next year.

Also, with a more experienced QB on 3rd & 1 , would like
to think would get us out of bad play against an all out
blitz and run the ball to the perimeter. Obviously, I can't expect a Freshman to do that.

With Worley on a 3 and 1 they may not stack the box because of the threat to throw.

Look at the execution of the team on the 3 - 4 & 1s against GA.

The last two cycles we missed out on the WR that most thought weren't a need, and was just the icing on the cake in Q Davis and T Boyd... They would probably be at the top of out depth chart, so I hope we don't miss on Malone.

Hope I'm wrong but something tells me we miss. I think the way we finished the season may have sealed our fate here. JMO

Not feeling as confident as I was before so I'm not sure what to think.

Hopefully Thigpen can seal the deal and on the plus side, he is very good at that thus far.
