It is but they are not anti Vols or pro Vandy if that's what you're suggesting. Chad Withrow is on the midday show that said it and he's as Pro UT as anyone in the state. I don't agree, at all, that we need to get used to the fact that Hurd is headed out of state and not to UT, but Graham didn't exactly have him locked up.

they may not be anti-ut, but they always manage to give a little slurp on Vandy whenever they're discussing college football.

I spoke to some people in Hendersonville and Gallatin who are close to Hurd's inner circle today. UT was not out of the picture, but he loves Meyer and is a very hard lean to Ohio State, because he belives that they will play for a NC soon. Who knows where this puts UT now?

seems like some in his inner circle need to give him a history lesson on Urban's running backs. NEVER has used a big back!!! NEVER WILL use a big back. His QB will take majority of carries. His other "runners" are the Harvin, Demps, Rainey type.

I understand the desire for championships, but wouldn't you rather be on the field actually making a difference in winning a championship.

The 'inner circle' that you are referring to is lying.

Or don't know anything, but want people to think they do.

Most recruits will watch what happens on the old gridiron before they make a decision for the Vols. Who we hire is important but the best recruiter will be CWG. Coach Win Games.

And this is the only thing that matters to Hurd. We win a big game this fall, and he will wear orange. Don't let any 'insiders' on this site tell you differently.

Dear Lord, I want to apologize for being truthful about us not being able to tell what a kid will do a year from now. I should have done it more respectfully though and for that I'm sorry. Amen

If it isn't positive for UT it's not true or your trolling. Read your VN handbook next time

Update on scout anyone suscribe there?

"I really don't know how I feel right now, but I am definitely upset that he has left," Hurd told InsideTennessee. "He was a great coach in that program.

Jones wasted no time getting in touch with the Hurd camp, placing a call to Hendersonville, Tenn., shortly after the news of Graham's departure went public to let the elite runner know that a plan is already in place to bring in a more-than-competent replacement.

"I think they'll do that. I think they've got that in them," said the U.S. Army All-American, whose most recent trip on Feb. 16 had him shoulder to shoulder with Jones and Graham a majority of the time.

Other schools like Alabama, Florida, Ohio State and Vanderbilt are in the race as well.

"I'm hearing from Florida quite a bit," Hurd said. "Coach (Brent) Pease, I'm talking to him. I talk to coach (Will) Muschamp once in awhile. I talk to (Ohio State) coach (Urban) Meyer a little bit. I'm talking to Vandy a little bit. It's kind of everywhere. I'm just taking it slow."

He said he is likely visiting Ohio State with high school coach Anthony Crabtree next.

"Coach Meyer is a player's coach and everyone really knows that. He's great," Hurd said.

"Everytime I come up there, they show love to my family, show love to me. They just have kind of a 'me day' and show me around…I just feel a lot of love from them."

-Scout

I'm really hoping that we make a great hire with this. We need someone who is going to be able to bring in the recruits. Especially Hurd.
