I can promise you he doesn't think he is better than UT. It is Dooley's fault that we are even behind for this kid. He didn't speak to him on his visit, never went to watch him, and Dooley promised him an offer if he visited and never gave it to him when he got there.

A new coach actually helps us with Hurd. Bama wants to change his position and he does not like that at all. Ohio State is the leader right now, but if CBJ treats him like a recruit instead of a kid that doesn't deserve his time (like Dooley) then we will get back in it.

Agreed.

Dooley dropped the ball on a lot of talent (including Hurd). He is a good kid and he loves the Vols, and I think that if CBJ recruits right, we will see this kid in orange.

He hasn't had a lot of interest in UT because they apparently haven't had a lot of interest in him. It was Dooley that acted like he was too good and didn't have time for Hurd.

Would love to see a kid from my high school end up a VOL! Hell, it's awesome to see a kid from my high school as a top recruit! Way to go, Jalen!

That is mind blowing. How could that ass clown drop the ball so badly with instate talent. I'm hoping coach Jones can get us back in good graces with Hurd, and the others.

No kid is ever a "must-get", but this kid is huge for Florida right now. I think he is one of only two or three RB's we are focusing on for 2014.

We have got to figure out a way to lock him down if we want to be competitive in the SEC. We need a solid RB again and this kid would fit the bill nicely. I know our staff is in communication with him alot and we can't afford to keep losing kids of this quality to TN, Georgia, Bama, LSU, etc.

Time will tell I guess..........

I'd be willing to bet many on this board care what a top focus of their staff is doing at other schools, his interest level, etc.

Waco let me make this clear. I do not give a damn who Florida is recruiting. They are going to get the same kids every year. I only care about who my team gets because that is who I root for and who I will follow.

That is being 100% honest.

There is a banquet Sunday evening honoring Beech's State Title team. The keynote speaker is none other than James Franklin. That douche would sell his soul to get Hurd to West End.

You may ultimately secure his services but you certainly are not entitled to him or any other Tennessee high school player. You have an embarrassment of riches in terms of instate recruiting talent; we don't have that luxury. I imagine that Butch Jones will fight you tooth and nail for his signature.

Is that even allowed by the NCAA? I didn't think coaches could speak at recruits' functions.
