Unless the new coach can work a miracle, Hurd is on his was to Tuscaloosa. Have talked to people close to him and it has always been Bama or Ohio St.

Last we (Bama) heard is that we are not recruiting him as a RB and he dropped us. Would love to have him though. Correct me if I am wrong

It was the offensive coordinator - Coach Pease- from the Univeristy of Florida. Not Florida State.

Funny, my wife didn't know the coaches name but she said he was wearing a FSU shirt? :ermm:

Why we are not recruiting him hard is beyond me this kid can play, he'e patient and explosive!!!!!!

Can we get in on Heard with either Strong or Fisher?
Is he for sure not interested in Tennessee?

Heard he recently verballed to Ohio State. He won't go to Bama because they wanted to make him a wide receiver. That's all I know for now.

From the info i have recieved if tn hires a good coach that hurd likes he will be choosing the vols ive always heard from this guy that hurd wants to come to ut but the coaching thing is his hold up.

Getting a good coach doesn't make us anywhere close to a lock for him, but he has said that UT is back in there if he likes the coaching hire.

Thanks guy`s for the update on Hurd ( sorry about spelling earily ) just saw his game the other night he looked like the real deal.

Hurd has not and will not commit until next season. He will choose his top 5, take his officials, and choose a program then. He will commit in the fall as he graduates early and will enroll in college early (Jan 2014).

No one is off the table. He is keeping his options open and is interested in programs that are interested in him. He does want to run the ball, but realizes how effective he will be at WR too and has no problem doing both.

Clear leaders right now are OSU and FL. Bama sees him as a defensive player, and he has no desire to play on that side of the ball. So if they stay with those thoughts, he will not even consider Alabama.

If TN score a good coach and the recruits to follow, TN will not be off the table for Hurd.

If Hurd thinks he's better than UT, then good riddance. Kids that go into college thinking they're the next coming are nothing but trouble.
